Interesting choice of wording, because one of the things about Meg Ryan that I've never liked is that many of her movie roles involved a lot of cigarette smoking scenes. Personally, I don't care for hot women smoking to begin with, but with her it seemed particularly negative. Just my opinion.

Well, I tend to take things other than personal appearance into account when determining hotness, which elevates certain "girl next door types" in my book, but I see these types as generally being more attractive then they appear.

But there's no denying that their hotness is, in part, based on the "type" of person they are (or appear to be). I generally have a hard time separating the person from the physical aspect. For example, if Paris Hilton was legitimately beautiful but still the person she is, I'd still vote Not Hot. As it is, though, I don't have that problem...
