I've noticed (I'm very new, 4 games into my first season), that the AI is pretty bad in terms of timeout usage on defense during the two minute drill.

I made it into FG range (19-yard line) with 2:35 left in a tie game. The Redskins let me run the clock down to where I kicked FG with 42 seconds left and they got the ball back with 27 seconds left without using a single time out on defense. I managed to run 6 plays during that time.

With 1:47 left and me on the 16, I threw a 14-yard pass to the 2-yard line. At this point the D has to stop the clock, but they let it run all the way down to 59 seconds.

Is this normal, was it an aberration, etc.?

With some of the clock mis-management that goes on in the NFL, I am not so sure this is not an accurate portrayal of real life. I
