View Full Version : I think I just scheduled a meeting.

I was fooling around with Microsoft Outlook at work a little while ago, and I clicked on a woman's name in the company address book. I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but I think I just scheduled a meeting with her for this afternoon. She works in accounting, and I'm in purchasing, so there's not really much reason for us to have a meeting.
Soooo, if I run into her upstairs and she wants to have the meeting with me, what should we talk about? I'm not good with girls. :(
I suggest discussing Microsoft Outlook.

Call Dell and ask for Kevin.

Ask her why she wanted to have a meeting with you.
When she says that it was you, not her who requested the meeting, respond with "Typical accountant...blaming others for your problems."

Quit your job. Run out of the building now.

Tell her you've been put in charge of the Penske file, and you need help auditing it.

I'm hiding in the basement. I hope she doesn't come down here looking for me. I am never, ever, EVER clicking on a woman's name in Outlook again. :(

So you're alone in the basement?
Guess there is still a chance of a happy ending at the end of the scheduled meeting time.

It's ok, us accountants would rather talk to someone in purchasing than one of those dummies in sales.

I wish it were that easy to schedule a meeting in the system my company uses. 75% of the time, you think you've done everything correctly and then you get an error message back saying the room isn't available or that an error occurred and as such your invitations won't be sent, only to really have them sent...

I just now got an email invitation to a meeting. It is about a case on which I am working, and the invitation came from the lead attorney on the case. But this thread has me wondering if it is on the up and up.
I am thinking of just not going and when he comes to find me to ask why, I'll just tell him that I thought that he was "pulling a Pumpy."

People must really hate your real name if they are giving you so many nicknames. :p
