What are you doing here? - man asks wife at brothel
Wed Jan 9, 11:10 AM ET

WARSAW (Reuters) - A Polish man got the shock of his life when he visited a brothel and spotted his wife among the establishment's employees. Polish tabloid Super Express said the woman had been making some extra money on the side while telling her husband she worked at a store in a nearby town.

"I was dumfounded. I thought I was dreaming," the husband told the newspaper Wednesday.

The couple, married for 14 years, are now divorcing, the newspaper reported.

There are other ways of making $$ without having to resort to that.. definitely the woman.

I'd say both, but there is no option for that...

She should have been honest with her husband, and he shouldn't have been going to a brothel.

Ignore the names and try to figure out which is the one dude among these four posts.

She should have been honest with her husband
This is a very female point of view.

Her: Honey, in the spirit of openess and trust, you should know that I am a whore.

Him: While I'm disappointed to hear that, I do appreciate the honesty.

Do they have sex at a brothel? Or is it just like a strip club?

My question is: did he pick her or someone else?

pretty sure brothel is hebrew for whorehouse

pretty sure brothel is hebrew for whorehouse

That's actually not correct My understanding is that brothel is arabic for a collection of women, usually young, who would live and work together. It was not a sexual thing, but the Europeans (and then Americans) saw it and imagined that something else must occur-hence the common use of brothel as a term for a whorehouse.

Disclaimer: This comes word-of-mouth to me from an Arabic Studies student, but I don't purport to guarentee that it is the truth.

These paradoxes, they befuddle.

well, duh, why else would a man care about a collection of mostly young women? it wouldn't be to hear about their hopes and dreams.

OK, maybe I should have said "she shouldn't be a whore in the first place", but it still doesn't make him free of wrongdoing by going to the whorehouse. It's not like he knew she was there and went to confront her or something...I stand by my original opinion that they are both wrong.

the bigger question is if he met his wife at a whorehouse and had sex with her - would he have to pay her?

even better - if, at home, anal sex was forbidden - would he be able to say "well, we can either do it now, or we can do it in about 2 hours when your shift starts."

I really don't think either of them is MORE at fault than the other...she was selling herself for sex, and he was paying for sex, as far as I'm concerned, they are equally wrong.

Well, unless she said "No, honey, I'm not a whore who accepts money for sexual acts" or he said "No, honey, I'm not paying a whore to perform sexual acts", then TECHNICALLY neither of them lied. However...that is splitting hairs in my mind. They were both deceiving the other, and I don't see much difference between paying for sex and being paid for sex, they are equally low as far as I'm concerned, and thus, equally at fault. I think the main point is that there was something seriously wrong with their marriage if they both went to such extremes...probably a good thing they are getting divorced.

Not that it makes much difference. I still think he will be her customer at some point:D

So we are assuming this was his first trip to a brothel/first experience paying for sex???

In fairness to her, her actual words were that she was helping the local butcher bag his sausage.

Best use of the trout option ever.Depending on the people involved, this could also be the first time there should be multiple options involving trout to make it more realistic.

I had a hard time deciding between a parody of The Pina Colada Song or The Gift of the MagicThighs. I decided that a lyrical couplet was easier than a short story.

How good could she be?

I mean, after all, he is looking for action at a brothel, right?
