Just an FYI, the change to defensive scoring that was voted on doesn't appear to have been implemented.

3. Defensive Scoring changes. Interceptions and Fumble Recoveries under this proposal would be revised to two points each. Also, the points allowed totals would be modified under this proposal.
Shutout = 10
Defense gives up between 2-6 = 7
Defense gives up between 7-9 = 4
Defense gives up between 10-16 = 3
Passed 11-1

Defense
1 point for every Interception ALL
1 point for every Fumble Recovered TM
6 extra points when total Points Allowed is exactly 0 TM
4 extra points when total Offensive Points Allowed (FG, Pass TD, Rush TD) is between 1 and 6 (inclusive) TM
3 extra points when total Offensive Points Allowed (FG, Pass TD, Rush TD) is between 7 and 9 (inclusive) TM

Fixed.

The scoring isn't retroactive, but I don't think it would have changed the outcome of any of the games. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Yeah, it wasn't really a conscious decision to load up on USC guys. I thought Palmer was worth a good pick since he was such a fantasy star before his injury. Sanchez was the rookie QB in the best situation to succeed and I needed a good rookie keeper. As far as Steve Smith, I expected him to thrive in NY this year and get targeted a lot more with the void left by Burress. I never expected him to do quite this well though ;)

Well technically we have some amount of time that we can veto a trade if someone made a simply ridiculous offer like that.

For what it's worth, I don't have a problem with trading future draft picks.

Well, it's not a case of the trade being unfair. I just mean, someone can trade their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders to get decent players for this year... and if it doesn't work out for them, not continue in the league next year. So the person taking the team over might have a nice selection for their three keepers, but then won't draft until round four.

If no one thinks this will be much of a problem, I'm all for trading picks.

I'm not really excited about my team's showing the last few weeks, but I still have managed to back into the title game. Unfortunately, I've only scored more than 82 points once in the last 4 weeks so that spells big trouble.

Yeah, so much for that- he's up to 26 and there's still half a quarter left after that most recent drive as he went over 100 yards and then went for a 30 yard TD run. :(

I was starting to think I was jynxed in this league, but this year I had a lot of luck fall my way :)

Looking back at who I kept ended up being a lot more fortuitous than I thought. It looks like the keeping Brady thing worked out (not that I had much better options at the end of last year) as did going with MJD over Westbrook. Keeping Fitz vs Roddy White actually ended up being a push (White scored 4 more points than Fitz all year), which surprised me a lot.

But, more importantly for luck, I didn't have great weeks in the last 2 but scored just enough to win :D

Can't wait to start again for next year.

I'm back. Not a fan of TE unless you can give a 1.5 multiplier to points or something. Otherwise, there's basically 2~4 good ones and a bunch of fluff. It's silly in a 12 team league.

I'm still for shortening the bench, tho.

Actually TE from top to bottom is closer in production than any other position other than kicker. There is a bigger drop off from the top QB's ( Manning, Rodgers, Brees) and RB ( Johnson, Peterson, Gore) to the 9-12 guy so the argument about having 2-4 top guys than fluff is actually incorrect.

I just checked. The point difference from the top QB ( Brees) to number 12 (Palmer) was 11.6

Top RB (Johnson) to 12 (Addai) was 13.1

Top WR ( A Johnson) to 12 ( C Johnson) was 4.9

Top TE ( Clark) to 12 ( Winslow) was 3.6.
