Okay folks, here is where you will actually draft. When you make a selection, please bold it for ease of reading. Thanks!
Oh, and make sure you choose a name for your studio, or else I will assume you just want Yourhandle Studios.
Here is the draft order, randomized for your fun.
1. larrymcg421
2. Greyroofoo
3. Jedikooter
4. ntndeacon
5. jbergey22
6. Lathum
7. CrimsonFox
8. Mustang
9. Izulde
10. DrAFTjunkie
And then the next round is...
1. DrAFTjunkie
2. Izulde
3. Mustang
4. CrimsonFox
5. Lathum
6. jbergey22
7. ntndeacon
8. Jedikooter
9. Greyroofoo
10. larrymcg421
In reversed order. Then repeat each other round.
Remember, here are the basic rules:
1. 2 each of Director, Producer, Lead and Supporting Actor and Actress.
2. At least 4 of those have to be Golden Age of Hollywood (1927-60)
3. You must draft TWO intellectual properties that have never been made into a movie.
4. You are drafting movies, not TV
5. There are 6 hours between picks maximum, then you are skipped or I use the pm of picks you sent me. If you tell me to in the pm, I will just pick as soon as the person before you picks, so we can keep moving.
6. Please pm the person after you so they know their time is up.
Have fun and good luck all!

Well, I actually have the advantage. I'll pick 1st 7 times and last 6 times. So I was just trying to be fair. It's not a big deal for me if no one else minds.

I think, because of the demographics of this board, that Lucas could bite you in the end - but I'm not sure. Some people (I'm not one of them) have a real hatred for what he did with episodes 1-3.

1.10- Bette Davis, Lead Actress (Golden Age)
Eleven Oscar Nominations for Best Actress with two wins. Almost wrote Bette Midler, which would've been disastrous. Aside from the producer category, the actress category seems to be the thinnest, which leads to my next pick.
2.1- Merryl Streep, Lead Actress
Sixteen Oscar Nominations with two wins. As I said, the actress category is quite thin comparatively speaking, so I decided to load up while I still can. As far as Oscar nominations go, Streep and Davis are #1 and #3 all time.

2.2 Audrey Hepburn - Lead Actress (Golden Age)
Breakfast at Tiffany's and Roman Holiday are her two most well-known films. Even today, she represents a quietly elegant, high-class beauty that presents a startling contrast to certain, more aggressive actresses. Won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Roman Holiday and received several other award nominations.

These roles in a lot of ways are interchangable. Its hard to be good at one without being good at the other. After reading more about Wells I liked Spielbergs financial backing much than Wells so it made me want to switch.

Maybe because he chose non-golden age picks, but so far i am most impressed with jbergey22. However, i think mustang has potential to make a very interesting ensemble.
i think the "john ford question" is going to be a major factor. so many of the golden age people are known personalities, but their work and importance is not well known. there are also quite a few personality picks, i think several people are known stars but their overall film credits and importance is fairly weak...imo

The vote of confidence is appreciated.
I do have name value but I think I messed up slightly with Wells as I should have made him a director. Also, like you mentioned the later I wait on filling in my "Golden Age" picks the worse it is going to get. The supply is limited so the people that are picking them now will get some nice picks later.

I actually made it through that part the first time I saw it. It's when they finally get to 'present day' and there the exposition gets kicked into high gear. holding up? I just got back. so give me a break? Is this all there is in your life?
certainly not, but when I sign up for something like this I have the courtesy to not take the fun away from everyone else involved by holding things up. If I know I can't get to a computer for extended periods of time I will either submit a list or not sign up, and if I do hold things up for some reason my first reaction will not be to come off as abrasive and rude.

For 1 I was typing up my pick when you wrote that and for 2 its not that difficult to turn in a pick list. Ive done it despite being around for my picks.
Figured as such. Ah well, I pretty much got who I wanted anyway. Ingrid was on my scope tho, but I'll take Judy for sure.

CF, it amazes me how you don't see how you come off. You did the same thing in werewolf. You come into a group of people you don't know and after some questionable behavior, in this case using the whole 6 hour clock 2 days in a row, you come off sounding rude and confrontational. Calling someone deaf and telling them they are uncool? How does that not come off as rude? Was it not obvious to you people were irritated that you weren't showing courtesy in regards to the draft?
Then when someone calls you out on it you act all indignant like you are some kind of victim. If I was you the first thing I would have done is apologize for holding things up.
Then making mother jokes, very mature.

So I figure I'll take a glance at the thread out of idle onlooker curiosity and then, shock of shocks, there's melodrama.
In lieu of the longer post I just erased before posting, I'll just go with "ya'll are some funny mofos sometimes".

And I was lookingn at Ingrid Bergman as well
I had her 3rd on my list in round 2 when I submitted picks to Abe and actually had her 1st in round 3 when I submitted it to Abe and let Lathum know who I was looking at so he could make a list as well.
Of course I changed my mind and took De Niro so Im glad Lathum didnt plan around me taking Ingrid and hurting his draft.
And when I say 1st,2nd, or 3rd in a certain round I mean at the time I send it my pick. Usually prior to the pick before me.

Hard to find something that hasn't had a movie written about it. (or even have the rights taken) Maybe a little early for an IP pick, but since my studio is taking on a theme I want to grab it.
4.3 : The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King, IP
I made a list of 6-7 things and did some research and it seems that they all had something in the works or someone bought the rights so, hopefully voters give some slack. :)
I won't ding you. This will seriously escalate your list in my mind.

I agree
This is going to be tough. I started looking for some IP's and it seemed like everything that I looked at had atleast an indy film developed.
I think I am just going to wait this category out and see what other people start drafting.

IP I think has a chance to really hit with the right core of voters.
Since I'm not in this I haven't thought about it a TON, but I can think of several things that really could gain a lot of interest.

This seems interesting me based on this:
3. You must draft TWO intellectual properties that have never been made into a movie.
I personally see no way that rumors of it being made into a movie would hurt based on the criteria given.
