EA Sports might sue Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
When our source at the company contacted us, he said that “soon after the airing of the episode the top beef were called in, even Peter Moore was informed of the situation” he continued to say that “before the episode aired the marketing folks were already worried, but now they have a lot more to worry about”. Our source later goes into details about a possible lawsuit, saying that “while I personally found the episode quite funny, there are definitely a few copyright infringements in there that I’m sure will be dealt with accordingly”.
Full article here. (http://www.dailyinformer.net/2010/03/21/ea-sports-to-sue-south-park-creators-over-tiger-woods-episode/)
Do they have any kind of case here? The article says it wouldn't be the first time something like this happened to Parker and Stone and they haven't lost a case yet. Hopefully that continues.

EA: Rumors of lawsuit over South Park episode are 'nonsense' -- Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/22/ea-rumors-of-lawsuit-over-south-park-episode-are-nonsense/)
We contacted EA to get to the bottom of this, to which an EA spokesperson commented the rumored impending lawsuit is "nonsense." So, there you have it: EA is not suing over the episode. Nothing else to see here -- move along.

Also, Parker and Stone had a surprisingly deft touch when dealing with Muhammad. If there's anything they like more than screwing with any group of people, it's screwing with their viewers and they did that in spades.

A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

Viacom is royally wimping out. They've now removed the Super Best Friends episode from the website.
I rewatched it yesterday.... they really are folding on this one.
I wonder if Matt & Trey will find a way to sneak muhammad into the cartoons (he was in the opening credits a few seasons ago with the original issue popped up)

Which is really lame since, frankly, I think public opinion is actually on the South Park side, 201 was pretty tame, and with the revolutionmuslim site being hacked, most of this was blunted

Was the revolutionmuslim site hacked? It was revolutionislam that was "hacked", and as far as I can tell they are distinct entities.

Ah, apparently they have been redirecting traffic from revolutionmuslim to revolutionislam.
Now Younus Abdullah Mohammed, of Revolution Muslim, has confirmed to us that hackers redirected the group's website to revolutionislam.com, a site that hosts the image above — a cartoon depiction of the Prophet, originally published by Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten in 2005 (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/01/international/europe/01cnd-danish.html?_r=1).
"But it was pointless," said Muhammad. "Our website is down with the amount of traffic since yesterday anyway. If these hackers want to show their support for the filth and trash that is America then that is fine by us. We already know the outcome as Muslims."
That outcome? "Islam will take over the world."

Little bit of a spoiler alert. I'll put it in spoiler tags in case you or others want to find out when they watch the show who they went after.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey are more or less the main focus of the show (at least the first half), with a few Jersey Shore people coming in near the end, namely Snooki (and they DESTROY her).

I really dislike it when they do trilogies like this, or interrelated episodes like this. I couldn't stand the first one, and thought it was only going to be a 2-parter. Imagine my disappointment last night to see it was a 3-parter. Same thing happened with Imaginationland. More and more, South Park has been super hit or miss, and much more miss than hit to me.
