I do know that a lightsaber would, in fact, be the best weapon to have in the case of a zombie apocalypse.

The lack of any ammo immediately puts it above any gun.

It's very light and can effortlessly cut through just about anything, so you can keep swinging for hours. You don't have to worry about it getting caught on anything like a skull or bone or such.

Trap yourself in a room and need to get out? Easily done, just cut a hole through a wall.
