Sorry, just got back, but Nick Barnett over Bailey, Henderson?!?!?! Good thing the Pack usually does well in the 3rd round and later.

So last season the Saints dreaft Georgia DE Charles Grant, this year the Saints draft Georgia DT Johnathan Sullivan & Georgia OT Jon Shinchcomb.......I am seeing a trend here....The Saints like players from Georgia....Musa Smith in the 3rd? ;)

Doug--

what do you think of NO so far?

I think we got great value from Az for the trade, though, like most people, I think that we could have gotten our guy lower.

I would have preferred Mathis over Shinchcomb, but we need youth on the O-Line, too.

I think we got great value...and I think Sullivan might have been picked at 7 and gone to the Vikings, i heard him on TV last night saying he talked to Seattle and they said they would pick him if he was available...So considering what it cost to move up I think it was a good pick. I would have been happier with EJ Henderson instead of Stinchcomb, but he will add some good depth to the OT position, and you can never have to many good o-lineman....I am happy with how it has gone so far, I just hope we get a LB in round 3....Maybe Terry Pierce, or Bradie James?

Washington up at #44. Taylor Jacobs is available. They got Chad Morton and Laverneus Coles ... do they dare take Jacobs??

Good pick by the Colts getting Mike Doss in the bottom of the second round. I thought they would take him at #24 in the first round, so to pick him up at #58 inthe second is a steal.

The Bengals are doing pretty good so far. Palmer, Steinbach, and now Kelley Washington. who'da thunk it.

Yeah, the Bengals have had a GREAT draft so far! Stienbach and Washington are good players.

Btw, Detroit has quietly been having a great draft so far as well. The STEAL of the draft in Boss Bailey, and just got Cory Redding (a good pick).

Hey, and a Rutgers player got picked in the 2nd! Woohoo, alma mater! :D

Wow.

Good draft for the Honolulu Blue and Silver. Rogers in the first, Bailey in the second, and now Cory Redding. I was sort of hoping for Weathersby in the third, but Redding was a first rounder in some mocks and Porche aint getting any younger. Excellent. Most excellent draft. The Lions defense lacks playmakers and was utterly awful. Good to see them addressing this here in the draft. If Weathersby some how drops to the 4th round (quite unlikely, even with the gun shot wound) it'd be amaizng.

Well done, lads!

ISiddiqui do you know anything else about Redding? Im curious as to whether he could play DT as opposed to DE.

If Battle or Holt last until the Lions next pick, I think they can pick up another defensive starter.

I'm not sure if he could play DT. I know he's a good DE, just don't know anything about if he has the size for a DT.

Why in the hell would the Texans select a QB in the 3rd round.

I was wondering that too. I thought Lee Suggs would have been a good pick.

Instead of drafting offensive linemen, they'll just keep several quarterbacks on the roster.

obvbiously that thought he was a good bargain at this point. They can easily snag a RB at the #4 pick tomorrow morning. Onterrio Smith or Lee Suggs should be there.

Does the actual drafting of players start at 11am or does ESPN's coverage of the event start at 11?

no kidding, what the hell are the Texans doing wasting a draft pick on a QB???

I think the actual drafting starts at 11. The sportingnews.com lists 11 am as the next selection.

I have to hand it to the Bengals, they have had a very solid draft so far, Weatherbee(sp?) was a good pick, and getting Steinbach in the 2nd round was a steal.

Why would the Lions take Artose Pinner when Onterrio Smith is still available? :(

Probably because he has excellent hands out of the backfield and will fit in nicely into the WCO. Of course, Smith would have been nice too.

Yeah, but I just think Smith is a better overall back. I think Smith may have the ability to one day be an every-down back, but Pinner will probably be nothing more than a third-down back.

the Texans are proving themselves to be the dumbest team in football. THEY HAVE DRAFTED TWO QBs!!! what a waste.

Best name in the draft:
With the 7th Round 10th pick (224th overall) Seattle Seahawks select the WR from Kansas St.,
