Based on the success of the Starting Eight game (http://operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=83648) last NCAA tourney, wade and I talked about doing a regular season version. The premise is basically the same, though there are tweaks for the regular season format.
1. You pick a roster of any 10 players in NCAA Division 1 men's college basketball.
2. You score as many points equal to the total number of points & rebounds as each of your players scores in their games starting December 1st.
3. There will be a waiver period that takes place at the end of each month for add/drops from your ten-man roster. Each team is given 1 wildcard waiver to use during the month as they see fit (for injury, etc.)
4. The idea is obviously to have the most points at the end of the season, but we'll do weekly and monthly winners too.
This game will end after the regular season and we'll go back to Starting Eight for the post-season, but thought it might be fun for chronic NCAA watchers to have a low-fuss fantasy-type game to play during the year.
There is no draft, you just release your own Gang of Ten.
If interested, post here and we'll get it started.
