Hmm. I went Boston over Aerosmith and S&G over Clapton, thinking that I'd be in the strong minority on both. Early returns have those both pretty competitive, though.

I have been mildly surprised at the love S&G have been getting. Thought they might not be in the wheelhouse of a lot of folks here. I didn't vote for them this round, but you can't deny their vocal talent.

With the exception of Fleetwood Mac and Van Halen, had to go with all underdogs.

Cream and The Kinks was by far the hardest choice I've had this tournament. Fleetwood Mac and Radiohead was probably second.

Same.

Also, I would have voted for Heart over many in this group... sadly, they ran into Queen.

Even though Queen is the 5 seed, I am pleasantly surprised to see them demolish everyone on their run. I didn't realize they were as popular as they seem to be here.

S&G over Slow Hands is a travesty.

I'd probably vote for Led Zeppelin over Queen, but I think that's the only group I'd have above them.

I keep wanting to vote against Van Halen, but for my tastes they have had the easiest draw of any band.

This has been the most difficult group to vote for overall thus far for me.

Similar to the movie poll, this was a case of voting for my all-time #2 over my all-time #5.

That's fair. I do enjoy Heart as well - but few can top Queen in my book.

Dang it. I thought Def Leppard might be able to beat Metallica.

Aerosmith vs. Boston is tough. Both are bands that I like and who have a great album that raises their status in my eyes (Pump & Third Stage). Ended up going with Aerosmith due to a higher volume of songs that I like.

S&G I don't really consider to be rock, but they've got more songs that I like than Clapton.

This is funny. I went exactly opposite of you in every battle. Some of the battles did make me pause. Clapton S&G was close in my head.

Ditto. Leppard may not be the "best" band, but favorite ... oh, yeah.

Losing The Kinks and Boston. Man, at this rate Led Zeppelin will be gone.

There are a few I'd put over Queen, but definitely a short list. Probably Zeppelin, Floyd and Eagles among the top seeds in this tourney.

I just noticed that Aerosmith is seeded as the 13th best rock act in history, and that is easily the most offensive thing in this tournament so far.

I do have only 4 groups above Queen and like you, I consider that just a few. They are Pink Floyd, Heart, Led Zeppelin and U2.
