NFL Week Four

Kind of early I know, but I just had a chuckle today reading the preview for the Bears/Seahawks game this weekend.

It features the offensive and defensive players of the month, which isn't all that odd, except the offensive player is from Chicago and the defensive player is from Seattle.

Big test for the Seahawks, really hoping that Gray and Locklear are both able to perform at least at 90% or even with the 4 wideout system, they'll be forced into 3 step drops all day which will give the Bears secondary a great opportunity to start jumping routes. The loss of Alexander (I think) is over rated as Morris is better suited to face the Bears D (quick decision north/south runner as opposed to the stutter style of Alexander). In the end, I really think Seattle can still put up 14-17 points on the Bears D, so it'll be whether or not their D can limit Grossman and Co. to less than that. Here's hoping the D can continue their fine season (4th quarter of the Giants game not really included).

Yeah, this week we'll find out what the Chargers are made of. Playing the Raiders and the Titans can make any team look stellar.

I'll be at the Ravens-Chargers game sunday. It should be a good one. I dont really like the Chargers, but since I hate the Ravens I'll be rooting for SD

Love the Chargers.

Ever since Natrone Means stole the show and Doug Flutie took command like a field general, I've been a supporter. But Tomlinson doesn't have a chance. Ravens win.

I wish that Smith could sit out this week against the Saints. Our secondary is TERRIBLE. I *know* that this is a rebuilding year and I should be glad that the Linebacker corps (which was assembled the week before week 1) HASN'T been ridiculed and Brees hasn't been knocked out of a game yet.

I just can't stop wishing that McKenzie were 2" taller to go against the receivers in the Bump & Run. To those who don't know him, he's the CB from GB that has the long dreadlocks. I don't think he's being outrun, but he's being outplayed way too often.

sigh.

Awesome, the Titans changed their minds and will start Vince Young against the Cowboys. I hope Roy Williams gets a chance to welcome him to league when he scrambles.

Well, that's at least 45 yards and three first downs Tennessee will get...

Ehh, that should not have been a first down on that 3rd and 1 for the Chiefs. They got one hell of a spot.

Well, the Titans got 35 yards and 3 first downs on the first drive (plus a 5-yard penalty).

The Jets running game is making the Colts rushing D look like the Ravens. Or maybe last year's running defense is back for Indy? Brackett looks like the Rutgers monster that he is today.

Why does CBS hate the Colts? For the love of Christ, get Deirdorff out of the booth for our games! He seriously needs to get our opponents cocks out his mouth. Wait till the game is over, jackass.

There is no question as to why this moron was demoted from MNF.

These last two minutes of the Panthers-Saints game has been ridiculous. Two long TDs... but it looks like the Panthers will knock off the Saints now.

I have Torry Holt in 2 of my fantasy leagues, so I would've loved for him to get credit for the TD, but that announcer was wrong. He never had full control of the ball, despite how he had two feet down. That was an appropriate overturn (of the call originally being a fumble).

I'll say it again: Rookie of the year: Marques Colston.(132yrds recieving on the day with one LONG TD). He is one great 4th to last 7th round draft pick. Every decade or so Hofstra gives the NFL one very good WR.

Sometimes I think Bill B. is too smart for his own good. Should just be running the ball and controlling the clock. Dillon is obviously fired up.
