Any word on if Solevision will let me view game logs after they've been simmed, and without me having to see the score first?

I'll download the demo tonight and check it out before asking more questions about how many of my utilities have been (thankfully) obsoleted...

Jim has updated his web site with references to Front Office Football 2007. Does anyone else think this could be a hint about his next release?

Height/Weight didn't affect player performance in the past. It looks like it will now?

Stud CBs are going to be at a much greater premium now with the improved coverage schemes. Also, notice they have some effect on run d as well.

I also wonder what changes there might be in the way of team leaders. Looking at Philly, rookie Jeremy Bloom is listed as the WR leader.

There is an option in Global Options to turn off sim results to avoid seeing spoilers.

Hopefully someone comes up with a tool to use Solevision in MP leagues.. Imagine tuning in to a host computer, and see the 1:00, 4:00 and Sunday/Monday night games play out in order

If I recall, they weren't in the FOF2004 demo, either. I think they kick in during FA1 of year 2.

There is a seasonal rust rating now, as well.

Playoff Statistics. Individual playoff statistics are now tracked for players, both for single seasons and on the career statistics screen.

Awesome

I wish that exhibition games will have stats save too for the players.

I'm thinking you won't need to do it like that. I imagine that you just download the mp file like you normally do and then go to the Solevision and let it roll.

Although I was only called Gregory when I was a kid and my mom was yelling at me.

Oh, you mean there could be someone else he is referring to?

Aren't there usually other "hidden gems" that are new as well?

I just pooped myself when I got home from work and saw this. I thought it was a joke, and I am sitting here laughing in excitement as I see the screenshots.

I wonder if a majority of my NAFL excel generated reports can now be run through the ingame?

Does the "Create HTML" export all of the new screens too?

The play-by-play is such a monumental improvement. I love both the play descriptions and the suspense of the way they unfold, unlike past versions where the entire play result was plastered up there at once.

And the fact that you can load multiplayer games, hide all the spoilers, and watch the games play out in-game on solevision.....this is exactly what I had hoped for, brilliantly implemented. This will make multiplayer so much more immersive.

I couldn't be happier with what I've seen so far in the demo. I can't wait to see the new draft features and the rest of it.

The box scores appear to be automatically converted to HTML. At least, that's what happened when I ran the first week of sims..

I'm happy with the improvements and consider this an acceptable upgrade to FOF 2004 (with updates). If Jim had just added more stat tracking, I'd have been meh...however, with the new look to the draft, etc. it's a considerable change from FOF 2004 (with updates). Not to drag out the past, but EA Sports could stand to learn from this model...maybe they'd have happier customers.

Me happy.

Damn. I have a ton of reports that I do based off of the HTML output for the NAFL. I am sure they will have to change or maybe they are obsolete. Also, I wonder how the FOF Extractor will react to this?

I'm tempted to buy tomorrow, but I'll probably wait for the first patch to come out. I will be buying it anyway, even though FOF 2004 didn't get very much attention on my machine.

Have fun, guys!

Occurred to me as well, but Jim isn't really using player stats, but is giving them attributes (in the form of ratings, etc). I didn't know if that was covered or not.

I wonder if you can renegotiate with Staff in this version before their contract is up?

Football Outsiders? I wonder if playoff scenarios are a hidden in here. I feel like a kid in a candy store.

Boo. Log files and box scores no longer appear to be stored in plain text format. IMO that's actually a huge step backwards for MP immersion. Hopefully the MP html export will include them...

Oh sweet, you have nickel and dime depth charts, so you can control which LB is pulled. Awesome.

I also like the breakdown of all the gameplanning so far. It will prove me to be an idiot eventually, but I like it.

I also noticed that if you are running a 3-4, you set 3 line positions and 4 LB positions (only one DT set of slots is displayed), and in the 4-3 you only have 3 sets of slots for LB. CB backups are set as well rather than just nickel and dime. Nice improvements.
