Eric Anderson Jr. - SG Wisconsin 7-4 20.0 MIN - 9.0 PTS - 4.8 REB - 1.4 AST - 1.1 STL 44% FG - 38% 3P - 54% FT Wisconsin ended the month on a 4 game winning streak as Anderson Jr. poured in 20 points in 21 minutes for the Badgers against Alcorn State. The Badgers biggest win was a 84-76 win over 10-3 BYU. Their only losses this month were to 11-1 Iowa State and 10-5 Notre Dame. Tim Moungey - PG Ohio State 5-8 26.7 MIN - 8.5 PTS - 3.1 AST - 1.9 REB - 1.7 STL - 3.9 TO 40% FG - 37% 3P - 70% FT It's been a tough start for the Buckeyes. Moungey has played well at times but has also struggled averaging more turnovers per game than assists. Ohio State is currently on a 4 game losing streak as they head into January. They do have one big win over 11-1 North Carolina though. In that game Moungey had 7 points and 2 assists in 30 minutes. Against UCLA, Moungey had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Rob Nielsen - SF UCLA 9-4 5.7 MIN - 2.0 PTS - 0.5 REB - 0.4 AST - 0.5 STL 47% FG - 20% 3P - 50% FT It's been a good start for the Bruins and Nielsen has come off the bench in all 13 games. He hasn't put up many points, his high is 6, but he has made 10 of 21 shots. Jeff Nights - PF UCLA 26.2 MIN - 7.2 PTS - 6.9 REB - 1.6 AST - 1.2 BLK - 1.7 TO 40% FG - 68% FT Nights has been very steady for the 9-4 Bruins. In a 95-76 win over Tim Moungey and Ohio State, Nights put up 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. AJ Tucker - PG Missouri 8-1 - #12 28.6 MIN - 8.7 PTS - 4.9 AST - 3.3 REB - 3.7 STL - 4.0 TO 42% FG - 28% FT - 76% 3P Tucker has been great for the surprising 8-1 Tigers. The Tigers had a great game against 11-1 Michigan State, winning 74-57. But in the latest game for the Tigers, their first loss of the season to Tennessee. Tucker turned the ball over 12 times and only had 3 assists. Nick Phillips - C USC 11-3 30.2 MIN - 9.1 PTS - 8.4 REB - 2.1 BLK - 1.5 AST - 3.4 TO 55% FG - 87% FT Phillips, along with fellow freshmen Kendall Tyler have helped USC on a great start with big wins over Okahoma and Stanford. His free throw shooting has been terrific thus far. Rudy Ray Moore - SG Illinois 7-5 28.1 MIN - 11.3 PTS - 2.9 REB - 2.1 AST - 4.0 TO 37% FG - 29% 3P - 77% FT It's been a tough start for Illinois. They've lost 5 games early on, when last season they only lost 5 throughout the regular season. Their losses though, have all been against tough teams. Arkansas, Stanford, UConn, Duke and 9-2 Creighton. Moore has been putting up good numbers, his shooting percentages could be a little higher though. Ryan Clark - SG Wright State 4-6 23.6 MIN - 5.0 PTS - 1.7 AST - 1.1 REB 48% FG - 50% 3P - 25% FT Clark has missed three games so far for Wright State with a stratched cornea. When he has played he has shot the ball extemely well, 8 of 16 from three point range. After he comes back from the injury, Wright State needs to find a way to get him more shots. Hey the Buckeyes may be young and green, but we'll be fantastic by the time I'm a senior... and I'm a thief in the night, oh yes.

Not a bad start if I do say so myself although I'm not to happy with that last game... 3 assists and 12 turnovers just won't cut it.

Wow....dissapointing season after a good 11-3 start. I was hoping for much more in Phillips' freshman year. Well hopefully USC can make a run in the NIT and get a good recruiting class in there.
As for Tim Lucas goes Kansas hopefully they will do better then USC. Last edited by msubball : 11-27-2006 at 09:46 PM. |

Wow, what was Clark thinking accepting that offer to Wright State? Butler would have been a much better place for him to go, not mention in his back yard, if he was unable to find a spot in a more prestigious program. It looks like he may very well waste away in obscurity.

Either Iowa or Notre Dame would be my own personal version of hell for schools to attend. At least frigging Indiana is not on the list to complete an unholy triumverate.
Edit - Mizzou is a decent alternate for the triumverate. Clearly this game has a sense of humor. Last edited by hoopsguy : 11-28-2006 at 02:12 PM. |

Sophomore year for Phillips at USC. I don't know if they are over-rated at #9 or if they have improved drastically after not getting to the tournament last year. Lets hope improvement.
Lucas takes a redshirt at Kansas which is okay because thats just a year he can improve. |

The 10-2 start for USC this year resembles the 11-3 start from last year. Lets hope it doesnt end the same way in losing a bunch in the end.
Phillips has some nice numbers I especially like the 3.6 blocks a game. |

My guy Rudy Ray Moore is a stud. Way too many turnovers a game, but I am guessing that since his team sucks, he has to do most of the shooting, driving and penetrating, causing more turnovers.
