Even better when you make your own pickles. Store bought ones, for the most part, taste horrible.. except for Claussen.

You obviously haven't used the heavenly relish. It goes well with just about everything other than ice cream. I put it on just about every sandwich, burger, hot dog, steak, pork chop, chicken and fish that I eat.

I couldn't live on pickles alone, but that sure wouldn't stop me from trying.

Pickles are the most foul of fouls.

Fruit chutney #1, especially when combined with rare roast beef, swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

Fruit chutney? You must also eat a lot of quiche, and cucumber sandwiches.

Usually, when I compliment food, its like.. "Damn, this is tasty". It usually isn't "pickle". But if you think so, hey.. I can dig that too.

Are you complimenting the food, or the food preparer, with that type of comment? I think you need to be more direct in your complimenting of the food.

Mount Olive is far superior to Claussen. Hell, I prefer Vlasic to Claussen. Claussen sucks.

Don't tell that to a Notre Dame fan. They think he's gonna win 4 Heismans.

I try to be general with any comment I make so as to please or displease the maximum number of people at any given opportunity.

The whole thing or just what I put in? Pretty much a standard pickle recipe (can't remember the vinegar/salt/water ratio off the top of my head) but, I use dill, garlic and 1 thai pepper. I usually make those, bread & butter, basic dill and this year I made a batch of curry which I haven't tried yet.

Canning is waaaaaay easy to learn. Of course, you end up with 50 jars of pickles but, good timing with the wife being pregnant.

If you tell me you like onions on a burger but not pickles, I will seriously root against the Astros for the rest of eternity.

Dude, I don't like onions, period.

Well, French Onion soup is OK, and I can deal with onion rings...
