Multiplayer RFA Bug?

Our league is in our first season following the conversion to FOF2007. About a quarter of the way through pre-draft FA we noticed that RFA on teams were being signed to contracts without human GM's making offers.

I double checked the Global Options and everything is set to "No": Coach Resets Depth Chart, Coach Resets Game Plan, Scout Automatically Signs Players, Staff Handles Signing of Drafted Rookies, etc.

As far as I can tell, in every instance it was a one year deal for the minimum with no bonus.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, there is something funky going on in MP with global options. You have to make sure you doublecheck your options each and everytime the commish does a new game file. Apparently, the options are resetting themselves in MP sometimes.

LORDLOVE-A-DUCK!
We are also having trouble with a few owners having trouble with garbled names. I think 3 out of 30. Has anyone else seen this?

part II
We have asked each owner who has the problem to delete and re-download their games. Some of the owners have been in the league 1yr some joined after the conversion.

Garbled names? More details? The names are in the .ffn file, and are linked from the main game file. Sounds like they may be missing the current .ffn file, or are out-of-date on the main game file (have to check my notes at home, I think that's the .fju file, or may be the .fpd file).

Whatever you can do, Thankyou in advance these guys are getting ticked. Were trying to draft and they can't get their scouting done.
thanks again.

Just a thought- Maybe these players are all from Krypton, with names like KeithGlo dieFlynn and Ronrami Appleaa.

On a serious note, I hope this isnt something that befalls all converting leagues.. Any other leagues had this issue?

I have two system with the game.

The first system works fine.

The second system has the same name issue listed above. That system is ok with SP file and one other MP league (not converted).

Both systems are running XP and are both laptops. Different video chipsets, but it only seems to be an issue PFL.

One person recommended a full uninstall of the game and reload, but I have not done that yet.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Scott Kolleck

That was going to be my next step. Odd part is that it was working just fine before I accidentally deleted the MP game. I then had to setup the MP league again from scratch, which is when this problem cropped up.
