Gotta see an AL team
My brother and I will be going to the O's/Cubs game next Tuesday for our once-in-a-lifetime pilgrammage to Camden Yards (oops, Oriole Park at Camden Yards). In all of my years of going to baseball games at various parks, I have managed to avoid degrading myself in watching an AL team play (I have seen every single NL team, most several times). The only time I saw an AL team was an A's/Giants exhibition game but fortunately, it was at the Stick. Now I actually have to walk into an AL stadium (albeit a really nice one) and watch a game with the DH. Fortunately, there will be a NL team player (even though it's the Cubs) but I still have to prevent myself from puking in witnessing the DH for the first time in person.

Try the crabcakes and/or one of Boog Powell's steak sandwiches.
Oh, and I don't like the DH rule either, but, sheesh... get over it already. |

We have had the DH for how long now?
Get over it.

He was alive and remembers when it was started.

All of you spoken like true AL apologists. True baseball fans don't have to accept something that they don't like, esp. if it's stupid.

Yeah the DH really blows and makes NO sense whatsoever in the context of the game.

I've been to quite a few games at Camden Yards and it is a really nice place to watch a game even though their team has been lackluster in the past few years. If you get there about an hour early you can get up above the dugouts and try for autographs. I acutally got Ripken a few years back as well as some of the visiting players. Hope you enjoy the game. Too bad Sammy probably won't be playing
