I dated a girl I worked with at a grocery store when I was 18. She was hot, but our personalities just didn't connect. It lasted just two months, and shortly thereafter we both left the grocery store (for unrelated reasons).

That barely even qualifies, but I wanna hear some horror stories. Now make with it!

It had to be terrible because I was so slammed, but she kept calling wanting more and it became actually quite annoying.

The summer after my junior year in college, I was doing deliveries for Rent-A-Center (don't get me started). At the end of June, they hired a new account manager. She was kinda cute, but I didn't think much of her at first.

We started dating in September, and got married the following spring. Two kids later, we celebrated our 10th anniversary this past May.

So...not exactly a horror story (sorry!), but to answer your questions (at least the last two), "Yes."

that said, our team added an attractive woman a few months ago and long story short we ended up being the only two people left at some after-work shindig, drinking quite a bit. she talks about going to a wedding tomorrow and keeps mentioning flirty/self-deprecating things like "yeah that's why I never get any dates" that I politely ignore. we meet up with her friends, who after an hour pointedly ask her if she thinks it's weird that her boyfriend will be standing up at her friend's wedding tomorrow. she answers "yeah" but it's barely audible.

at the end of the night I hug her and as I separate from the hug (this should have been in a seinfeld episode) my left hand drunkenly bumps into her tit. she has some surprisingly big tits, I guess. I said "oh sorry" or something to that effect, but for months she thought I did it on purpose and that I was a big asshole for doing so. she didn't respond to work-related emails for a few weeks afterwards, and I was terrified that I was going to get a call from HR or an atty or something.

anyway, she broke up with this mystery dude a couple weeks ago and has since shown renewed interest in talking to me at work, which is how the hug thing came up and I got a chance to explain that it was an accident. she set up an after-work party thing for me and others to celebration my promotion tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. if I'm gonna get fired for office sex, I may as well go out a legend.

Grocery store, summer after finishing HS. The girl was a year older. Didn't really even date...she had a 'boyfriend' at school, although it didn't seem to stop her. So would fall into the 'hooked up' category.

Now married 7 years, I watch all the single people here and hear from a few about their drunken, after happy hour hook ups. Pretty funny.

This is one of my favorite topics.

My senior year of high school I worked as a busboy at a restaurant. One of the hostesses took a big liking to me. She was okay looking, but had a body you simply can't pass up. We hooked up a few times and then it was clear that there was nothing between us. One day at work she's crying at the hostess stand. She says she lost her date for the prom. She looks my in the eye and asks me to take her. I do, and we have a fun night in the hotel room. After that night it's clear I'm not interested in her and from then on our relationship deteriorated and life at work was much worse (though i still enjoyed the job).
The next summer I get a job at a different restaurant and hook up with both a waitress (the "friend who liked me") and a hostess (one of my finests moments) and so of course they're catty and the hostess is mad because I told the waitress we had hooked up and she told everyone that she's a slut and soon everyone thinks I am scumbag (okay, maybe i am, i mean was) and from that moment on I made an official policy to never hook up with anyone at your workplace ever again. I actually managed to do that for several jobs in a row. Then I started teaching English in Budapest 13 years ago and met a girl and we became very good friends. And now we're married and have two kids. Guidelines. Not rules. Guidelines.

I was engaged at the time so I couldn't tell anyone about it. So I'm getting ready to quit my job, leave town and get married, and on my last day there, my manager tells me she's pregnant. I had no idea what to do. Do I stay? Do I leave? That night the guys at the restaurant gave me a going-away party (!) and when my manager showed up, I decided then and there to stay, but my fiancee showed up and saw me kissing my manager. She freaked out and left, but I stayed and ended up marrying my manager.

I quit the burger joint and me and my best friend ended up buying the convenience store we used to work at. So, it all worked out in the end.

I worked as a counselor at camp for a few summers and it was like apples from a tree. At least 2 per summer, sometimes involving catfights.

When I was a grad student, the lab next door hired a hot chick as a technician. A hot chick in a lab environment has like her own gravitational pull, everyone wants her because they are few and far between. She had a boyfriend, but he was sort of a dick. Eventually, I got booted from my lease and she broke up with her boyfriend. We moved in together with some other chick and one night we got way drunk and...uhm...walked the line. We knew it really was never going to take off, but we hooked up once or twice more.

I also hooked up with a hot undergrad work study when I was a grad student. Most people in the lab knew and weren't happy with me. Oh well.

A few good months of fooling around, but eventually huge fallout with her and coworkers. None of the three are good plans, but good God don't ever try them all at once.

In college, I had a disastrous experience with a co-worker. She was 2 notches above me in the looks department (at least) and I was pleasantly surprised when she let me know she was interested. So, I threw aside all the advice that I had heard about not dating co-workers and dove in with both feet. We hooked up on the 1st date and it was one of the worst relationships I've ever had. Looking back with what I know now, she was one of 3 women I've dated who I would say has Borderline personality disorder or at least traits of the disorder. She was a self-cutter who was looking to me to be her complete support emotionally and had no sense of her self. When I realized this was heading down a dark road and decided I wanted to break up, she made life at work a terrible ordeal to the point where I left a good paying (for the time in my life) job just to get rid of her for good.

I've got a few horror stories my friends have experienced.

In the first one my friend owned his own company and he likes to hire really young "Britney" types to man his front desk and run the office. Well, in walked a 21 year old brunette (Latina) with HUGE implants and he hired her on the spot. He also began an affair with her.
One day in walked his fiance while the two were going at it in his office.His fiance left with her dignity and refused to take any of his calls.
Game over.

Similar story. Sort of.

I worked at a large law firm in DC. I was transferring to the Brussels office, so I had cleared my plate of most the matters I was working on. May paperwork got delayed, so I had to stick around in the states for a few extra weeks.

I was sent to Houston to help pull documents for our a client of ours, a big oil company, for a merger review. We needed some extra paralegal support so they brought a few in from the New York office.

A large group of us spent about 3 weeks at the client's offices in Houston interviewing employees, pulling documents, etc. I hit it off quite well with the paralegal brought in from New York. We didn't do hook-up or anything during the trip. We finally did hook-up after we got back to D.C., she hung around for a few days before heading to New York.

She came down to D.C. each weekend and then I headed to Brussels. We did the long-distance thing, New York to Brussels, for a year and then she transferred to the Brussels office and worked there as a legal assistant. We were concerned about working together, but it wasn't a problem at all. We ended up working together in the same office for about two years before getting married.

It's now been almost 3 years since we got married. Things are good.

My competition was an older guy (overweight and bald) and I was married so while i built friendships with the girls it never went any further. They would constantly flirt with me. My wife and I split up and I was offered alot of shoulders to cry on. I was actually crushed my wife split on me. It was a total ego save to go to work and have women flirt with me and I hooked up with 4 of them.

Anyway, mood ruined, went home...fight happened at work between the two of them, they both quit. Didn't make my life miserable at all. And one of the managers who wanted the really cute one with big breasts, wanted me to give him details of the hook up, and you know what...I never worked another crappy shift there in my life....

Another horror story happened during the Christmas party at the place I worked at, at that time. One of the women, we will call her Twinkles, was a bit of a party girl but very nice. She was also about 300 lbs.
My other friend, was a surfer dude we will call Dude.Dude and Twinkles were good friends at work, nothing more.

Christmas party came, we all had a great time. Everyone dancing, drinking , laughing. Some of them were pretty wasted and took the party to a local hotel so they could continue it and also not drive.
I come in the following work day and hear behind the tittering and giggles that Twinkles and Dude slept together that night. I was surprised, but stanger things have happened. Twinkles says she needs to talk to me. She looks like she has the weight of the world on her.

So we go to a quiet corner, and she proceeds to tell me that she and Dude were so drunk they slept together. I already knew from the gossip mongering, but didn't want her to know everyone in the company knew. She then continued:

After the bitch dumped me (no hard feelings, oh no), I ended up sitting in a small section with her and her new boyfriend. Four desks, I was across from them all day every day. She also reported directly to me. That wasn't very nice at all. Quiting was my only way out, so I took it.

The story has a happy ending as her new boyfriend went to south east asia on vacation and caught malaria. Haha.

When Lily first moved to Phoenix, she got a job in a mall tourist trap/souvenir shop. When Thanksgiving rolled around, I was contemplating going back to Tucson and working for Big Lots, but didn't want to leave Lily. So, she got me a job working at her tourist trap. The manager and a couple of coworkers knew about us, but we kept it quiet around the older, crankier cashiers who were already angry about Lily being made an unofficial assistant manager. If anything, I worked harder when on shift with Lily than I would have (and I'm usually a model employee when working retail). Sadly, there was no opportunity for backroom nookie.

dime High School JV Join Date: Sep 2006	don't shit where you eat, or something like that. that said, our team added an attractive woman a few months ago and long story short we ended up being the only two people left at some after-work shindig, drinking quite a bit. she talks about going to a wedding tomorrow and keeps mentioning flirty/self-deprecating things like "yeah that's why I never get any dates" that I politely ignore. we meet up with her friends, who after an hour pointedly ask her if she thinks it's weird that her boyfriend will be standing up at her friend's wedding tomorrow. she answers "yeah" but it's barely audible. at the end of the night I hug her and as I separate from the hug (this should have been in a seinfeld episode) my left hand drunkenly bumps into her tit. she has some surprisingly big tits, I guess. I said "oh sorry" or something to that effect, but for months she thought I did it on purpose and that I was a big asshole for doing so. she didn't respond to work-related emails for a few weeks afterwards, and I was terrified that I was going to get a call from HR or an atty or something. anyway, she broke up with this mystery dude a couple weeks ago and has since shown renewed interest in talking to me at work, which is how the hug thing came up and I got a chance to explain that it was an accident. she set up an after-work party thing for me and others to celebration my promotion tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. if I'm gonna get fired for office sex, I may as well go out a legend.

One of the hostesses took a big liking to me. She was okay looking, but had a body you simply can't pass up. We hooked up a few times and then it was clear that there was nothing between us. One day at work she's crying at the hostess stand. She says she lost her date for the prom. She looks my in the eye and asks me to take her. I do, and we have a fun night in the hotel room. After that night it's clear I'm not interested in her and from then on our relationship deteriorated and life at work was much worse (though i still enjoyed the job). The next summer I get a job at a different restaurant and hook up with both a waitress (the "friend who liked me") and a hostess (one of my finests moments) and so of course they're catty and the hostess is mad because I told the waitress we had hooked up and she told everyone that she's a slut and soon everyone thinks I am scumbag (okay, maybe i am, i mean was) and from that moment on I made an official policy to never hook up with anyone at your workplace ever again. I actually managed to do that for several jobs in a row. Then I started teaching English in Budapest 13 years ago and met a girl and we became very good friends. And now we're married and have two kids. Guidelines. Not rules. Guidelines.

She was drop-dead gorgeous and we ended up doing it on the prep table. I was engaged at the time so I couldn't tell anyone about it. So I'm getting ready to quit my job, leave town and get married, and on my last day there, my manager tells me she's pregnant. I had no idea what to do. Do I stay? Do I leave? That night the guys at the restaurant gave me a going-away party (!) and when my manager showed up, I decided then and there to stay, but my fiancee showed up and saw me kissing my manager. She freaked out and left, but I stayed and ended up marrying my manager. I quit the burger joint and me and my best friend ended up buying the convenience store we used to work at. So, it all worked out in the end.
