Funny Wikipedia Entry

A friend of mine searched on Wikipedia for "hippo." His reason for looking this up was, "someone opined that "hippo" is the term in some places for a hot water bottle. I wanted to verify that, figuring Wikipedia knows everything to a first order."

It would appear someone's got a beef with a certain Marlie Galvan, as the entry shows:

Too funny.

The first one would have been kind of funny hidden in the middle of a legitimate list, but they spoil it by overwhelming the rest of the page.

*sighs* Wikipedia, the encyclopedia that anyone can vandalize/edit war on.

(Trust me, I'm an Admin over there, and some of the folks that I am currently dealing with on a long time, wide ranging edit war on Northern Ireland related artcles has me pulling my hair out)

At least that sounds like it's of some significance. I love the comic book guy edit wars like C# vs C♯.

I do trust you, I'm sure it's a pain in the ass for the admins. But it still cracked me up.

Definitely. 10 years from now, kids will be saying "how did you do research papers without the internet". Hell, they're probably doing that now.

I can't imagine doing a literature search for graduate-level scholarship without online article databases.
