The OFFICIAL FFL Trade Thread
Them
Jay Cutler McCown Edge Addai Peterson(Vikings) Cotchery TO Gates ME Kitna Favre S.Jackson F.Taylor LenDale White Wayne Steve Smith Santana Moss He offered me Cutler, Peterson and Cotchery for Kitna and Steve Smith. I don't really like that. Can someone spin me a good deal that involves Wayne for Addai as it's central piece. I need a back. I had Deuce as well.

In one league I got Willie Parker for TO and Jamal lewis (Gotta love trading when a guy runs for 200) and then today I got Travis Henry and Anquan Boldin for Laurence Maroney and TJ Housmanzadah

I can never make trades because nobody in my league is ever the least bit reasonable (I'm not talking about the FOF league I'm in).
I seriously just got offered this in my other league I send: Tom Brady, Marion Barber III I get: Marc Bulger, Lendale White I mean seriously, shouldn't there be some kind of sanction against his owner for this kind of nonsense? |

I find I rarely make trades. I like to live and die by my drafted team. The only way I really consider a trade is if someone propses it to me. In three or four years of fantasy football, I've made exactly two trades:
2005 (I think... the year that Shaun Alexadner broke the rushing TD mark): I send Kevin Jones and Rod Smith for Tiki Barber and Brandon Lloyd. This was early in the season and the other guy needed a WR. Rod Smith was doing alright I believe, and Tiki didn't explode for a very good year yet. Won the league that year. FOFC Keeper League: I send Marc Bulger for Chad Johnson. This was done in the offseason after the first or second year, and has worked out very well for me. |

I'm think Kitna is certain to be concussed again. If not beheaded at some point. Was beaten to a pulp last week.
Kitna, Wayne for Addai and Crotchery gets me Addai I think and ensures Brett Favre gets hurt. Wonder if he'd throw in Cutler. He's useless though...not sure I'd even want him too. Or I could just hope Jackson gets going and either Travis Henry, Addai or Rudi Johnson gets hurt. I have all their backups.

I know. I'm down to Pittman as my only available starting back. Fred Taylor and FatDale White are on bye and McCallister is on vaca. I'm way down the waiver list so I doubt I get Jackson's backup. Double turds.

yeah #2 was a no win slot. wonder if I can get good value for kitna out there. I hate trading though. Painstaking groundwork and emailing has to take place. Ardous process.

ooh, what about Kitna and Wayne for Vince Young and Reggie Bush? hmm...hmmm?
I'd try Kitna for Bush straight up but I doubt that would work.

I think Bush's owner is too drunk and happy over McAllister's injury to even consider that deal... This is a dream come true for a Bush owner....

i need advice
Preface that my RB's are Rudi Johnson (K. Watson), J. Norwood, C. Brown - so Im very weak here. I would give up: TE Gates I would get: RB Maroney or I can add to this: I give up: Gates & A. Johnson for: Maroney & Driver What do you think?

I would take Maroney for Gates. You can get a decent to good TE CHEAP there are just not any top flight RB's available. I think the Pats will run the ball more when it gets colder up north and the teams respect their passing game more (which should be really soon). This is a classic buy low deal for you as Maroney is a first round talent. I also think Johnson is a stud and Driver could be in real trouble if Favre goes down (he is old people).

So what about if I send
Reggie Wayne Favre Fred Taylor FOR Cotchery Jay Cutler Edge Is that cooky? Considering I have S.Jackson, Kenny Watson, Michael Pittman, LenDale White as my backs.

depends on you receiver situation in terms of gates
A. Johnson is hurt right? What is the injury? If it's going to linger you would make the second trade to include Driver. As far as Maroney. I would guess...and this is just a guess, that his workload would increase as the year goes on. He's not going to be a great TD machine I don't think but the team is so good that defenses won't be able to stack the line and he'll get his yards. I'd lean towards the second trade unless you think Johnson will quickly return from the sprained knee. Driver is comparable anyway.

The big variable is johnson's injury as his replacement on my roster is a weekly crapshoot.
I feel safer making the first trade but the second one could turn out to be the better move to make. any more input?

Ended up making a deal.
Gave up Wayne and Farve for Edge, Cotchery and Cutler. Shakespeare for everyone. Now the question is whether to hold onto S.Jackson or not.
