lordscarlet, I see you trying to show up the other line dancers by putting in those extra spins and gyrating your hips.

Well the funny thing is that through most of that we're ALL doing extra spins, you just can't tell since all 4 of us are doing it... in a normal setting with people doing it straight by the dance steps there would be a lot less spinning.

I said something to him about the extra turns when I saw this video. Gotta start doing them, can't have him showing me up .

Actually, I was serious. I mean, I know you and LS are twins, but that doesnt mean you have to look alike. And LS did just say you were the guy on the right.

But okay, I feel much better now.

I have to confess, I was puzzled about which one was Wade--the guy in the back clearly looked like LS, but LS's description made me think that Wade was actually the Circus Strongman guy in the front.

You guys just made my day. especially because right now for the first time in our lives I'm about 25-30 lbs. heavier so I've heard from his work friends that I'm the "fat version" of him...

So anyway, yeah.. mystery solved... front left is LS back right is wade.

No, no, the big guy is either a professional wedding crasher or stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Fortunately, tuxedo vests are quite slimming .

Sorry, poor sentence. "I am on the left in the vest, wade on the right." was meant to imply "I am on the left in the vest, wade on the right [in the vest]."

LOL! I think I may need to do a cover for "Cotton Eyed Joe". But seriously, if they would cut some of that gyrating in the middle, they actually have a few dance moves that are perfect for hip hop. Now only if they can add some locking and popping to it, we can have hip-hop line dancing or since Halloween is coming up, they can create their own version of "Thriller".

There are actually quite a few line dances done to Hip-Hop songs. Some of those even have some hip hop moves. Or, countryish songs with hip-hop moves in the dances (like one in particular I'm thinking of that is done to a Cowboy Troy song).

But the place we used to go to when we were in High School we did a dance to Men In Black for instance that was relatively hip-hoppish. Unfortunately, then we were going to a place where it was mostly teenagers where now I go to places that skew a lot older so often those dances do not catch on.

Now wait.

You're going to try and tell me there's not linedancing in Texas? Come on now, you know better.

Only in places like Dallas, and then only in the big, touristy clubs. Folks don't linedance in real country bars. Trust me, my old roommate was a country singer and I went to tons of his gigs. It's all about two-stepping and waltzes.

Ok, fair enough, I'll give you that - didn't realize you were making the distinction between linedancing and couples dancing. FWIW I do couples dancing also.
