Someone's In Huge Trouble! (pics included)

As I was dropping my daughter off at school, I passed the apt. complex across the street and noticed there was stuff everywhere. At first I thought someone was holding a garage sale or something, but as I got closer I realized someone got their stuff thrown out:

That really sucks man, especially thowing letters out in the open.

Hahahaha. What the hell. That's horrible. Is it perhaps a jealous girlfriend? A person being evicted?

Antmeister thought someone might have gotten evicted but I seriously doubt the landlord would throw their stuff out like that.

I see it too! I like how they used a monitor to prop up one of the multiple mattresses.

Have you seen how angry some of those people get when they completely disagree with the direction the redecorating went? Let me tell you.

That's probably an eviction. I did a few with a family friend a few years ago, and the concern was just to get all of the shit out to the corner. Basically, by the time someone is actually formally kicked out, they have had 30-60 days to make plans and move out all their shit. When you re-key the doors, you empty all of their stuff out by the road and retake possession. It wasn't something that I liked to do, hence why I only did a couple. Both times, we found a ton of stuff that people had left behind. I understand being poor and broke a lot more than most people, but I still don't understand getting a 72 hour notice, and then leaving a ton of your shit in the house that you'd want to keep around.

Hell, a few evictions they did, they found some amazing stuff(Big screen, huge fish tank). Once it hits the curb, it's basically fair game.

I'd say evicted. Just doesn't seem jealousy related given the # of furniture items around... and who the F throws out mustard in a jealous rage.

Whomever it is needs to seriously upgrade their computer monitor though and cut down on the number of mattresses.

Since it's an apartment complex, I would lean against eviction, since that really isn't the image the property manager that would initiate an eviction would want to project.

This is definately an eviction. I saw the same thing last summer. Before we bought our current house we were renting another house around the corner in our neighborhood. After we moved out of it, the woman who owned it rented it again to some people whom apparently did not like paying rent. One day on my way home I drove by the house and I saw the exact same thing as the pictures in this post (albeit different stuff). There was shit everywhere by the curb; mattresses, a dresser, clothes, toys, a bike, and junk lying around on the ground. On top of that, the people had left their car in front of the house, and it was filled with more stuff. The car was a POS, all rusted and falling apart. I think it was nearly a week before all of it was cleaned up. I am not sure if the garbage men took the stuff, if the people came back and claimed it, or if other people just took what they wanted.

Definately an eviction.

I would argue the opposite. Don't pay your rent, your shit hits the curb. Strong pimp hand, etc.

Sweet, identity theft time! Of course, it's not likely that someone who gets evicted from their apartment has decent enough credit to make it worthwhile.

I am still trying to imagine this situation. I am pretty sure there is a dumpster on the other side of the gates. Can't quite figure out when they expended that much energy tossing it over a fence. Was it some kind of statement?

Depends on the state, but I knew in Virginia it had to go on the curb. Something about you not being able to dispose of the stuff.

But if thats an eviction, wouldn't the landlord get fined for not properly putting stuff to the curb? At least here in Buffalo, if craps shrewn all over the DPW does not have to pick it up. You'd figure the landlord doesn't want to de-beutify his rental property.

Someone got evicted in our apt complex, it's a fairly "high end" complex, one of the newer in the area, gated, security, etc...they just put everything on the curb in front of the building, didn't even bring it out to the front of the complex like I thought they would/had to. So by the afternoon, as everyone started coming home, all the neighbors were going through their stuff and pulling stuff out - dishes/clothes/furniture/etc...it was actually sad.

What kills me is that there is kids stuff in those pics DC took...I don't get that. As a parent, how could you allow that to happen to your kid? Although I don't see a lot of clothes, maybe they took what they wanted and left, and were just too lazy to get the rest of their stuff????
