Upcoming Movies

Well. It seems like it's going to be another "super" year for superheroes. Check out the summer lineup that Paramount, Universal, and Warner Bros. have for us.

May 2008 - Iron Man, Paramount Pictures / Marvel - The trailer kicks ass. I have a feeling it's going to haul in a lot of bucks at the box office.

June 2008 - The Incredible Hulk, Universal Pictures / Marvel - Great trailer. I hope that Edward Norton's take on Bruce Banner makes this franchise reset worth watching.

July 2008 - The Dark Knight, Warner Bros. / DC - The sequel to Batman Begins. Bale reprises his role as Batman, Katie Holmes has been replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Heath Ledger's last film. Box office moolah.

Movie trailer looks better, but Jennifer Connelly >>>>>>> Liv Tyler. You know it's true.

Oh, and Maggie Gyllenhaal???!? Uh, neverthoughtI'dsaythisbut, bring back Katie Holmes!

The Hulk needs to plow someone as The Hulk. Although that might not be possible.

Obviously, I don't really keep up with the movies. They're doing another Hulk movie already? It's only been five years since the last one, and I'm assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) that this isn't going to be a sequel to the 2003 film. It just seems a little strange to me.

What the hell are you talking about? There was no 2003 Hulk film. There was, however, a film with Jennifer Connelly in it, and some dude, and some other dude, and some green guy. None of it made sense, and it was complete shit except for having Jennifer Connelly in it. I'm pretty sure if there had been a movie about the Hulk I would have heard about it by now.

Wanted looks like a sick, sick movie. I hope that they don't have all the good scenes in the trailers.

Morgan Freeman: "Curve the bullet"
Angelina Jolie standing in front of the target: "Shoot the target"

The scene where the guy shoots and hits the other guy's bullet is cool as well as the train sequence.

I though it looked cool too. I think there was another thread where some fanboyz ridiculed it for not being true to the source material. Maybe that was another forum, Idunno. Anyways, I've never seen the original comic, and think this looks pretty good.

Let me put it this way... This is the only movie I can remember ever falling asleep to while not being completely exhausted. If I fall asleep during a movie, it's because I'm really tired and it's not the movie's fault. That wasn't the case with this junk.

Yeah, I noticed the superheroes movies that were coming out. I was trying to think of the last one that I saw and it probably was Superman III or something. Never had an ounce of interest in any of them.

Now, I'm cool with this list:
Indiana Jones
and umm..I think that's it. What else is there?

Yeah, Superman IV did suck, but it had Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor and I had a small crush on Mariel Hemmingway due to that movie.

Dark Knight is a theatre trip, and Iron Man has been upgraded to a theatre after the trailers I've seen. Hulk, eh, will need to be impressed by the trailers for that to give it a shot. Same with Hellboy.

No. It's not zombie Hulk, it's Abomination. He's from Hulk comics. He's pretty much just like the Hulk, but unlike Banner, the dude who became the Abomination purposefully exposed himself to Gamma radiation to become the Abomination. And, unlike the Hulk, I think he's stuck in his Abomination state.

The trailer didn't do much for me. I've never really been a fan of the Hulk. I watched the TV show when I was a kid, but I don't get the wider appeal. That said, I do fancy the idea of seeing Hulk vs. Abomination on screen.

Clearly you all have missed the news about the December movie, the movie of the year....

Punisher: War Zone (with some new guy who looks extra crappy as Frank Castle)

I heard they left Flasch out of this one, and that is why it will fail.

I'm really looking forward to Iron Man. Not sure if any of you have seen this new clip, it's called "Run before you can walk", the scene when Tony Stark flies as Iron Man for the first time, can be found at this page:
http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/

Downey Jr looks very good in the role of Tony Stark.

Here's another clip of Iron Man being chased by two fighter pilots:

Warning: video starts automatically...

If that is the case see "The Gift" (1) to see Katie Holmes tits, or you can hit up "Secretary," "Sherrybaby," or "Happy Endings," (3) to see Maggie's.

Maggie's a LOT.

OK, only Hulk comic I ever read was a re-print of the first appearance of Wolverine.

But even outside of that, it looked very cheesy to me, and not in a good way.

Same here on the comics. I just used to read those "Marvel Universe" comics cover to cover when I was a kid.

Is there some secret as to why they are making a new hulk movie? Was it pay or play with the creators, or they would lose the license or something to that effect? The first one was a revolting turd, but honestly i don't know how much better of a Hulk movie you could even make. Hulk smash. Hulk angry. Etc.

They better have hulk dogs in this one too.

Yeah, the movie has very little to do with the comics, which makes me wonder why they bothered to buy the rights to the comic if they're not gonna use it. Wanted the comic is a pretty sharp parody of the "anti-hero" books. The movie looks like complete crap.

It switched studios. The new Hulk is being made by Marvel Studios, and they're restarting alot of their own franchises.

They're also trying to build to an Avengers movie with Iron Man and Hulk being connected (Downey appears as Tony Stark in Hulk, Norton as Banner in Iron Man, and Sam Jackson as Nick Fury in both movies).

Plus the original Hulk sucked, so they're doing a movie version of a retcon.

I will be watching Hulk. If Norton brings his A game, he can save that franchise.

Contrary to what others may think, the Hulk's watchability will rely on Bruce Banner. I think Norton is a good choice to play his conflicted personality.

I watched the Hulk trailer and was completely unimpressed. If I want to see two big fake animated creatures fighting like that I'll play a video game. It looks like they wasted their time. Don't make a Hulk movie unless you can make it look realistic. I'd take Lou Ferigno (sp?) over that.

Wanted gets props for having Angelina looking hot in it, but it seems a bit over the top for me. I would have loved it in 8th grade I'm sure.

The Dark Knight is where it's at. That's a comic franchise done right.
