I got a corrupt database and will have to reload the initial file then the new file from within the game. We had a power outage here tonight and I think the problem was an intermittent connection. Which is still a problem so the downloads are taking forever.

Proceed without if you must but I will try to get a file in.

Well, I downloaded the League File from the first thread at the top of the forum (in the first section). Then I went in-game for the new league file and I get an error message:

Error: Could not get file information.

Any ideas?

No, my game is the very original. 10-4-1963. Where's the 1966 complete file?

Use the file in this thread. Then once you're in game, download the current league file before trying to do anything else.

The original file that we got won't work anymore, you need a more updated one because the server has changed. I can only assume that the file in the first thread at the top of this forum is the correct file to use.

Are you sure you don't have two files of the same name, and just opened the wrong one to unpack?

No, it looks like when the download stopped midstream Vista left the old file.

New file being downloaded now.

Go without me, I guess. I did it all over again and got the same thing.

DATABASE::load_database - could not load world file

twice, followed by

Error: could not load database. The original database files have been restored. Make sure that there are no write-protected or opened files in your league folder and try again.

mine is taking forever too though..... It wouldnt load the first time, it froze the second, and its been stuck where its at forever it seems on my third try.... might have to try the zip here in a few if it stays where it is

I'm the new guy in Long Beach and I am having the same problems trying to get the newest file.

I tried dowloading the zip also but comes up with database corrupt error. save-file from an old-version.

Here's a new file comprised of just .dat files. Put them in your FOOL.lg folder and copy over whatever the old ones that are there. Should allow you to load the game.

Huck,

I read through the OOTP forums and said there was a bad batch of patches released. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it aftre downloading again and now it works for me!

I don't know why, but I liked it better when it was a power outage.
