FOFC Chicago Round o' Golf?
As we're FINALLY into golf season, the thought just occured to me.
Anyone else of our Chicago crew golfers? It'd be rather spiffy to try and get 3-4 of us out for a round of golf in the very near future. |

If you're playing Chicago GC, Butler National or Medinah, I'll make the drive down from Canada.

I don't know what it's like in Chicago, but we are having record heat here in Atlanta, it hit 98 yesterday and I've seen temps above 100 on bank signs and the like...not exactly the kind of weather I'd want to play golf in.
Makes me wish I lived where it was cooler!!! |

80 degrees here -- I'm not exactly looking forward to my flag football game today in this heat, but I guess it's better than the rainout last week, or the thirtysomething degrees it was two weeks before. I know how to play golf, but let's put it this way -- I can't tell if I hit better with my right or left hand (that means I'm bad). |

I've always wanted to play golf...I actually dated a golf pro once and he tried to teach me, but my boobs got in the way. God did not intend for me to play golf I guess |

I have only played once in my life but had an absolute blast. I would be down to play if we got a couple people together, and as long as you all don't mind putting up with my badness.

I've played 5 times. If I actually hit the ball with the club more than 75% of the time I think I'm doing well.

Well I bought some golf clubs this past weekend and if any of you are ever interested, would be fun to try to get a round or two in.
Though I suck.

Name the date, it sounds like there is enough suck in this group for me to not stick out like a sore thumb.

Get on it CW! We only have a few weeks left to get this together!
By the way, I am proud to say I hit 75% of my attempts in the right direction now.

So we're trusting CW to organize an outing when he notoriously is a no show?

I'm available pretty much every Sunday. Otherwise just need a heads up on the Saturday evenings.

I'm going to be in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, MI from 8/8/08 - 8/22/08.
K-Zoo's "only" about 1 hour and 45 minutes away to Chicago. I guess it would depend how far away from Chicago I'd have to go because of gas prices, but maybe I could play actually.

If it was a Sunday I would hope that we are shooting for an August date - I don't want to mess up my football viewing time, if possible. Or if we can get an early tee time on a Sunday that would be fine as well, but aren't those normally blocked out for regulars? |

For August, I think the 16/17 weekend is probably best for me, followed by the 30/31 (weekend before Labor Day). I'll double-check these dates when I get home tonight.

I can do Saturdays but I would need a date settled on early so I can fix my work schedule around it.
And we got to pick a spot that brings Mr. Schmidty to play.

Well, this being golf, we're limited to 4 people at most for any given tee time. Also something to consider if we've got 4+ interested.
