NCAA '09 Interactive Thread
I'd like to try something I've seen done before here. I'd like to allow you to create a recruit for my NCAA dynasty and I will keep track of how you do. I'm gonna start out with 5 recruits for this season and see how that goes.
First: Last: Position: Handedness: Home State: Year (Coming in as a freshmen or a JUCO transfer): Height: Weight: Description of your skills: Are you an elite run blocking tackle? An average run stopping MLB? I'd like to keep everyone around a 3* or 4* so I don't screw up the talent level too much. |

QB Patel and MLB Vest, the two players from Illinois, are the only ones that have changed from Week 1 to Week 2.
Patel has been offered a scholarship from Illinois and is currently favoring them by a small margin. Vest has a new #1, Texas, and they've been coming after him hard. He's set up a visit to a few schools. Texas during Week 11, Michigan in Week 13, and Missouri during Week 9. |

AFTER WEEK SIX---
WR Chris Pullen (NY): Rating: 4* (#37) Top 3: Tennessee, Rutgers, Georgia Sorry Chris. You haven't had much luck in recruiting, but don't be surprised if Rutgers gives you a call soon. MLB Brad Vest (IL): Rating: 4* (#8) Top 3: Missouri, Texas, Michigan As of now, it looks like Michigan is out of the race. Missouri has jumped in front of Texas. Both have offered you scholarships, and Brad is visiting Missouri Week 9 and Texas Week 11. QB Swati Patel (IL): Rating: 3* (#18) Top 3: Illinois, Northern Illionois, Missouri It looks like Illionois is very interested in grabbing Swati. They have a noticeable lead over Northern Illinois and Missouri. So far, only Illionois and Northern Illionois have offer scholarships. Swati is visiting Illinois on Week 13 and Northern illionois on Week 9. WR Dayne Ho (NY): Rating: 4* (#36) Top 3: LSU, Penn St., Arizona St. Still no offers, but Ho is visitsing LSU on Week 13 and Arizona St. Week 14. |

AFTER WEEK THIRTEEN---
WR Chris Pullen (NY): Rating: 4* (#37) Top 3: Rutgers, Tennessee, Georgia My team added Pullen to our board and his interest in us has been steadily improving. I highly doubt he lands anywhere else. Rutgers is the only school who has offered a scholarship. MLB Brad Vest (IL): Rating: 4* (#8) COMMITED TO MISSOURI Vest has officialy committed to Missouri! QB Swati Patel (IL): Rating: 3* (#18) Top 3: Illinois, Northern Illionois, Missouri The Top 3 have stayed the same, and Illinois is really pushing to grab Patl. They have a pretty big lead. WR Dayne Ho (NY): Rating: 4* (#36) Top 3: LSU, Arizona St., Penn St. Ho still hasn't received any offers but LSU seems to like him a lot. |

WEEK ONE OF OFF-SEASON RECRUITING
WR Chris Pullen (NY): Rating: 4* (#37) Top 3: Rutgers, Tennessee, Georgia Rutgers is pulling away. We're still the only team that's offered a scholarship and the interest in other schools hasn't risen at all. MLB Brad Vest (IL): Rating: 4* (#8) COMMITED TO MISSOURI Vest has officialy committed to Missouri! QB Swati Patel (IL): Rating: 3* (#18) Top 3: Illinois, Northern Illionois, Missouri All three schools have offered scholarships, but Illinois is still in the lead with a full interest bar. I wouldn't be surprised to see Patel committ this week. WR Dayne Ho (NY): Rating: 4* (#36) Top 3: LSU, Arizona St., Penn St. Both LSU and Arizona St. have offered Ho a scholarship. LSU is in the lead, but a solid week from Arizona St. could propel them to the top. Penn St. is clearly out of the running. |

FINAL WEEK OF OFF-SEASON RECRUITING
WR Chris Pullen (NY): Rating: 4* (#37) COMMITTED TO TENNESSEE Damn it! We had such a big lead and were the only team to offer a scholarship going into the final week of recruiting, but he chose to go to Tennessee. UGH! |

WR Chris Pullen (?):
Rating: ? Pullen was cut from Tennessee's roster. They have 18 WR's on the roster. WTF? MLB Brad Vest (Missouri): Rating: 71 Brad made it onto the depth chart as the 4th MLB. QB Swati Patel (Illinois): Rating: 70 OVR Swati didn't make it onto the depth chart, so it's likely he'll get redshirted. WR Dayne Ho (LSU): Rating: 72 Dwayne is 8th on a long list of WR's. He won't see any playing time this year. Last edited by JetsIn06 : 08-25-2008 at 11:26 PM. |

Haha, I was bummed reading Swati's status but then I read yours and I guess I can't feel so bad!

Brad has gotten some action!
Not much, but last week Vest finally made it on the field and made the most of it. He had three tackles, all of which were for a loss! He also had a sack! Way to go Brad! Ho has also gotten some good action. He's caught two passes for 19 yards and scored a TD! Looks like a good sign of things to come for these two. Patel still hasn't made it off the bench. |

START OF YEAR TWO
WR Chris Pullen (?): Rating: ? MLB Brad Vest (Missouri) Sophomore: Rating: 79 Brad has moved up the the #2 spot on the depth chart at MLB! There is a JR ahead of him, so it looks like Vest will get at least one year as a starter. QB Swati Patel (Illinois) Freshman(RS): Rating: 75 OVR Swati didn't make it onto field last year and is now listed as a FR(RS). He is 3rd on the depth chart at 75 OVR, but the starter is a 78 and 2nd string is a 76. The 2nd stringer is a freshman, the starter a SR(RS). It looks like next year these two will battle it out for the starting job. WR Dayne Ho (LSU): Rating: 72+ Ho is so deep on the depth chart I can't even see him on the screen right now. I'll have to wait until the season actually starts and I can go through the roster. |

START OF YEAR FOUR
Sorry for the lack of updates. WR Chris Pullen (?): Rating: ? Pullen is currently taking Basket Weaving 201. MLB Brad Vest (Missouri) Senior: Rating: 87 Brad is a smart and strong MLB at the top of the depth chart. Last year Vest got some action as a backup, picking up 28 tackles, 7 for a loss, 2 sacks, and 7 pass deflections. QB Swati Patel (Illinois) Junior(RS): Rating: 81 OVR Patel still hasn't thrown a pass, but is listed as the #2 QB. He should get some snaps in during garbage time or due to an injury. He's close enough to passing the #1 that a solid camp could land him the starting job next season. WR Dayne Ho (LSU) Senior: Rating: 85 OVR Ho has developed into a quick and agile receiver. After being buried on the depth chart as a sophmore, he's now the starter! Last year Ho pulled in 82 receptions for 901 yards and 8 TD's, averaging 64 yards per game. |

WR Dayne Ho (LSU) Senior: Rating: 85 OVR Ho led LSU in receiving, catching 76 passes for 852 yards and 8 TD's. He averaged 71 yards per game and only dropped 2 balls the whole season. |
