Google Chrome + Privoxy = Firefox/NoScript..

For those of you, like me, who liked Google Chrome, but decided against using it fully because noscript/adblock didn't work for it (and thus you got ads out the wazoo).. try this:

Google Chrome AdBlock with Privoxy at TechnoBabel

Privoxy works to filter out all the ads..

I am not that familiar with privoxy, but at quick glance it looks more like:

Chrome + Privoxy = Firefox/Adblock moreso than noscript.

The main purpose for noscript is to protect you from harmful webpage scripting attacks that can cause your system to get a trojan injected. Looking through privoxy really quickly, it doesn't seem to be focused to that as much as just trying to block ads. Is anyone here more familiar with privoxy that can tell us if there is more hidden complexity to it somehow that can help with this?

Otherwise it still doesn't do what is needed to replace noscript for me.

It is not an extension. It is basically running a proxy server on your local computer that you point Chrome to run through. Not integrated with the browser at all.
