I say we create this kid in FOOL

Nine Year Old Boy Told He's Too Good to Pitch - Front Office Football Central

Put him in the Little League of the VL and see if he shows up in FOOL someday.

Serious question, is that even possible to put someone so young into the game world?

Yes.

The game doesn't really model for anyone that's not older than 15 or something, from what I've read, but yeah, it's possible to do that. I'd stick him in the Vulture League's feeder, the Little League, he could eventually be drafted into the VL and we could possibly see him in FOOL by October or November.

The game doesn't "grow" them, so they've got to be full grown size at whatever age you put them at, but their ratings will evolve, yeah.

That's kind of cool. Especially if he is a 6'2", 190lb. 9 year old.

We'll make him that size and we'll put him in Little League. Then we'll do yearly updates of his performance in here.

Because that'll be awesome.

It will be awesome because OOTP can do that, and then when he gets into FOOL, has three 25 win seasons with 300 Ks, he will drop off the face of the Earth for no reason.

He's created. Jericho Scott is his name. Shortlist him now.

I made him 15, because otherwise, the Little League wouldn't play him (the age range is 14-17) and so, he'll be in the US Mid-Atlantic team in the VL's Little League. We'll update this yearly with his stats and progress.

At this pace, we should see him in FOOL by the 1979 off-season. I think. Because if he gets drafted at 18 and has to spend his four years in the VL, that'll get him to us by the time he's 22 and in time to play in the 1980 season at 23 years old.

We shall see...

Jericho Scott, 17 years old
1973: (4-0, 3.08 ERA, 50 K)

This year he was:
1974: (4-1, 2.57 ERA, 70 K)
US Mid-Atlantic won the Little League World Series this year!

He should be drafted into the VL either next year or the year after. Then he'll be 4 years away from FOOL! Imagine the bidding war!

Jericho is 18 and finished his first VL season this year for the San Francisco Giants.

He's was 5-7 with a 5.56 ERA with 96 strikeouts in 20 starts. In 116 ABs as a third baseman, he went .284 with 4 HRs and 17 RBI. His potential seems strongest as a hitter, not as a pitcher, strangely, though that's all stars talking.

You don't use him as a two-way player? Because that'd be awesome.

I was wondering that, too, and I checked his stats. He's frankly not ready as a hitter to be a two way player.

I wanted to, but I believe a recall Markus saying that pitchers don't improve as hitters and as a hitter his pitching suffered terribly. This was because his endurance was not properly being read in as a SP would. I agree it would be awesome if he was a two-way player and I had intentions of him doing just that.
