Jeez...if we didn't have the Wildcard, there would be a different RL team in the final for a change *poke poke*

If we didn't have the wild card, things would be infinitely less interesting, as most teams wouldn't bother to try to compete, figuring there'd be no chance to even compete with the juggernaut.

1985 FOOL Classic Game #1

J. Aquino (HAR 0-0 0.00 ERA this postseason) vs D. Lewis (BAL 1-0 1.93 ERA This postseason)

Baltimore scores two on a RBI double by J. Robinson and RBI single from Waller in the bottom of the third. A 5th inning McGill RBI double gets one of the runs back, however in the bottom of the 6th Sanchez hits a solo homer for Baltimore and Guzman hits a RBI single to put the game away.

Baltimore wins 4-2

Baltimore takes a 1-0 lead in the FOOL Classic

See I agreed with that at first, but then as my team aged I realized that spot would benefit me as it just gives me the chance to do what just happend, which in my opinion is unfair to Tasan..... Id still rather it be the top teams, but am fine with how it is, not trying to flame fires or anything like that at all.

FOOL Classic Game #2

B. Smith (HAR 0-0 0.00 ERA in postseason) vs M.Brown (BAL 1-0 5.14 ERA this postseason)

Smith pitches well in his first game of the postseason, only giving up 2 earned runs to Baltimore, both coming in the bottom of the 8th. Brown pitches better though. He pitches 8 innings of 4-hit ball, allowing 0 runs.

Baltimore wins 2-0

Baltimore takes a 2 games to 0 lead in the FOOL Classic.

FOOL Classic game #3

P. Villalobas (BAL 1-0 0.00 ERA this postseason) vs D. Robinson (1-0 2.41 ERA this postseason)

In what is expected to be another pitcher's duel, this game ends up anything but. Hartford scores two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take an early 2-0 lead. That is all they will score however, as Baltimore scores 5 in the 5th, 1 in the 6th, 3 more in the 7th and 1 in the 9th to take a commanding lead in the FOOL Classic.

Baltimore wins 10-2

Baltimore leads the series 3 games to 0.

FOOL Classic game #4

I. Flores (BAL 0-1 6.00 ERA this postseason) vs T. Shaw (HAR 0-0 1.13 ERA this postseason).

So far FOOL Classic all time record between these two teams is led by Baltimore 13 games to 4. Hartford is in desperate need of getting some of those games back here. They start out on the completely wrong foot again however in this game as Shaw gives up a run in the third and 3 more in the 4th inning. Hartford scrapes back 2 runs in the 5th and another in the 6th.. but they just don't have enough to come back.

Baltimore wins 4-3

Baltimore takes a 4 game to 0 lead in the FOOL Classic and is one game away from the sweep.

FOOL Classic Game #5

Hartford has come back from 4 games down in the FOOL Classic before. They will be depending on Aquino to turn around his postseason tonight in order to do it again.

J. Aquino (HAR 0-1 6.00 ERA this postseason) vs D. Lewis (BAL 2-0 2.05 ERA this postseason)

Both pitchers pitch well as the game remains scoreless until the 7th inning. Both teams score in the 7th, with Hartford getting two on a Cervantes 2-run homer, and Baltimore getting one on a Sanchez RBI Fielder's choice. Baltimore is unable to come back in this one however as Hartford scores an insurance run in the top of the 9th and Hennessey comes in to slam the door shut.

Hartford wins 3-1

Baltimore still leads the series 4 games to 1.

FOOL Classic Game #6

B. Smith (HAR 0-1 2.25 ERA this postseason) vs M. Brown (BAL 2-0 2.40 ERA this postseason)

With every game a do-or-dir now for Hartford, they will be counting upon the winningest pitcher in FOOL of the past few seasons to keep their hopes alive here.

Hartford gives him the early lead in the second on a Tolmie RBI sac fly. Baltimore jumps into the lead however in the third when they score 2 runs. The Gothams score another in the bottom of the 6th to take the 3-1 lead.

In the top of the 7th, Cervantes blasts a solo shot to pull Hartford within one, but they just don't have what it takes to best Baltimore it seems. Baltimore scores two in the bottom of the 7th and finish off the Harpooners.

Baltimore wins 5-2

Baltimore wins the 1985 FOOL Classic 5 games to 1!

About 15-20 minutes on this file upload. I miss my home 20Mbps connection.

Congrats, Eric, you lucky bastard!

Darn, I was really hoping to win this year, and thus be perfectly timed to walk off into the sunset to start my short rebuild.

I see I am just going to have bring it all back next year and get right back here.
