Let's make this simple on ourselves. A win against a favorable opponent and we win the division. A loss and we get into a bunch of messy tie-breakers that I do not want to have to deal with.

So it's me, New Jersey, Indy, Jacksonville, and Pittsburgh in the fight for the 2 AFC wildcard spots (and one of Indy or Jacksonville will win that division). Pittsburgh plays Baltimore so is probably out of it unless Baltimore rests everyone, but I have a better conference record so win the tiebreakers there. I also hold tiebreakers over New Jersey.
Unfortunately, aside from Pittsburgh playing 12-3 Baltimore, the other teams play 4-11 Houston, 3-12 Tennessee, and 4-11 Miami, while I get to play 10-5 Buffalo. Great.

I knew my WR corps was bad, I just didn't realize how bad: total drops through 15 games = 51!! That just boggles my mind. If all of those had been completed, my QB's completion % would be 10 points higher at 63% vs 53%. Using his YPC of 10.08, it roughly translates to 514 of lost offense.
