Hartford Agrees. I pick up another Pen guy that I wanted and didnt have to pay an arm and a leg. Torres will end up being better im sure, however I needed a guy that can pitch now and Trosclair fits that bill.
Good deal for both teams I think |

Yeah, this helps clear my logjam, as Trosclair was unlikely to find his way onto my roster anytime soon, and I need some more talent farther down the minors to restock.

Boston Sends:
CL Eugene Trosclair (AAA, will be in DFA list) Hartford Sends: MR Antonio Torres (SSA) Boston MR Antonio Torres- Torress spent the next 3 seasons in the minors before making his debut in 73. He spent 3 seasons on Bostons Big league Club where he was up and down and his record was 1-1. His average ERA was 3.90. He had 80K'S and VORP of 6.0. He spent the next 5 years between 2 teams hanging them up in 82. Hartford CL Eugene Trosclair- Trosclair spent the next 6 seasons in Hartford where he went 40-37-19. His average ERA was 3.80 and had 610 K'S. His VORP was 91.0. He bounced around to three teams the next nine years ending his career in Baltimore in 84. Evaluation- Trosclair beats Torres in all numbers so the deal has to go in favor of Hartford. Torres just never lived up to his hype in Boston which was a shame. |
