Freebie(s) from SABR.org
Saw this on one of the tabletop forums, will pass it along here as well.
Just go to sabr.org & there's a link in the upper left for The Emerald Guide Click that & you get the briefest of registration pages along with this description (as well as links to the 2008 & 2007 versions in .pdf form for free as well) Seems like a hell of a freebie if you're into this sort of stuff The Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) is pleased to to offer the Emerald Guide to Baseball 2009 as a free PDF to the world baseball community. A bound version is available via print on demand at Lulu.com for $23.94. .Every page in the bound edition is in the PDF. To get your free PDF of The Emerald Guide to Baseball 2009, as well as the guides for 2007 and 2008, please fill out the form below and hit "Submit." You'll get an email with a download link, and one or two more from SABR, but that's it. We won't sell or give your information to anyone else. I thought you were here too, but as bad as my memory as gotten I figured I could just be imagining it too, so I thought better safe than sorry.
But I'll take advantage of the opportunity to thank you again for the linkage

No problem! I've started flipping through it and it is incredibly comprehensive, right down to the umps and their counts of ejections!

Please note that a mistake was found in the download. I emailed SABR ang the following reply:
"Elan, Somehow we ran the queries for all the leader boards with the “K” name file locked out, Al Kaline also is not on the Tigers leaderboards. We have made the correction and replaced the file and you can download a new copy. Thanks for your interest!" So if you've already DLed it, best do it again! |
