Sadly, I think people like you are starting to become the majority. I ever have that attitude, I'll hope someone puts me out of my misery. |

Jones was sentenced to a week in jail today for violating the terms of his drug rehab program (by drinking while playing golf).

Missed this thread the first time around. Thankfully since there is a first class example of douchebagary in the thread. Glad I saw the dates before hitting post to what I was about to say.

Sounds like he was busted for having a controlled substance, and the violating his probation was a secondary charge.

Still one of the best thread titles we've had.

No. The violation is why is going to jail. The booking when he was taken in to serve this was the original cocaine charge. edit: to clarify, some stories, including the one on ESPN.com, appear to display confusion in that the charge is possession of a controlled substance instead of failing the test, but when he was brought in and booked, the charge he was booked on was the original charge, not a new one. It's the same charge as before, he is just serving time because he violated the terms of the drug program he was in by drinking while playing golf. Last edited by MJ4H : 03-09-2009 at 10:07 PM. |

Ha, just noticed how old this thread is. Months later, I admit I really laughed at KSyrup's Tebow Dick-4-Heisman line.
