Building a doll house
Has anybody ever built a doll house out of a kit? I know - not so much of a manly question but I'm looking to start building one for my daughter and there are so many kits to choose from and not sure which one to get. Just looking for any suggestions or tips on building one...
thanks

I helped my grandmother build one for me when I was a kid. I do remember a few tips.
Don't use hot glue to glue it together. It's too thick and will make the walls be not quite square. Go to a paint and wallpaper store and ask for their old wallpaper sample books. One of these will give you plenty of small sheets of wallpaper to decorate the dollhouse with. Paint or wallpaper the interior walls before assembling the house. The furniture that comes with the kits is complete crap. Don't count on it for furnishing the dollhouse. |

my daughter has one that my grandfather build by hand. I'd be glad to take photos for you. It's a lot more complicated, and labor intensive, than a kit one, but has that extra special touch.

I definitely don't have the talent to do that... I wish I did though.
