TEW 10: Return of Extreme
This is my first foray into a TEW 10 game. It probably won't amount to much other then a way to learn the game and get some experience with it as I way for some of the old mods (2002, 97) are completed.

Shane McMahon acquires rights to ECW
In what can be considered the most stunning wrestling story since Vince McMahon buying WCW, it was announced today that Shane McMahon has purchased the rights to ECW and the contracts of several talents in an effort to relaunch a proper version of the most romanticized promotion in wrestling history. The deal as we have heard it involves Shane paying the WWE 20 million dollars for all ECW copyrights, titles, etc. As many know, Shane had left WWE earlier late last year apparently angered by the fact he was pushed out of the creative end of the business. With rumors swirling he was going to invest millions in TNA, and the fact WWE planned to get rid of ECW and rebrand its SyFy show, this became the alternative. As part of the deal, and perhaps even as shocking as the deal itself, is that the WWE is giving CM Punk and Bryan Danielson to ECW. Shane was adamant that these two wrestlers are going to be a focal point of ECW from here on out, and rather then deal with losing Shane and his money to TNA, they figured the safest route was to appease Shane. It is also been reported that Paul Heyman will reprise his role as the creative mastermind of ECW. |
