Of all the untimely celebrity deaths this was the one that hit me the hardest and always manages to make me depressed.

Phil Hartman was a comedic genius more in the classical sense than in the modern sense. Not much of that around

Sorry, but I believe if you commit Adultery you deserve to die. See you in Hell Phil.
Something tells me Hartman is not cheating on his wife where he is now. |

What affair are you even talking about? Anything I have ever read basically says his wife was on a drug cocktail and lost it one night after she found out he was going to leave her because of her drug problem. I know it the net but try to show just a little class.

This is accurate. She responded by accusing him of having an affair and killing him. It was a very tragic end to one of America's great comedic talents. |

Wow, what a retard this Horizon character is. Hartman's wife was taking Zoloft at the time of the murder/suicide. She was crazy and snapped one night.

Am I mistaken or did the writers of the Simpsons load all the Phil Hartman characters up on a bus and drive them off a cliff in an episode following his death?

I could really care less about his simpsons work, but I miss his excellence on Newsradio and SNL. Very untimely death.

I always get a little sad watching Futurama and seeing the Zapp Brannigan character, which was obviously created with Phil Hartman in mind. He would have done the voice had it not been for his death. Billy West does a nice job with it but Hartman would have knocked it out of the park.
I still watch NewsRadio on DVD and he was absolutely nails in that show. "No desk? No dinner? Land of opportunity my ass!" Last edited by kcchief19 : 06-17-2009 at 03:42 PM. |
