The new file is up! The 2009 Regular Season runs tomorrow morning

****** IMPORTANT *******

Remember to go to your draft pick signings screen to offer the draft picks that you want to keep a signing bonus. This is a one chance deal, so if you lowball the draft pick and they don't like your offer you will likely not sign them.

A reminder to try to help things go smoother.. If the player signing difficulty is either Hard or Extremely Hard, it is possible that you need to go above their demand to get them to agree to sign. Just because that is their demand doesn't mean they will sign. (Not quite like free agency here).

Do we only get to make 1 offer?

I don't like the sound of this. I don't want to lose the guys I draft because of something like this. Losing prospects is not something a shitty team like mine can afford to do.

OOTP sets the deadline to be 2 months after the draft, no way to extend it, so only 1 try on this. I would suggest teams not trying to lowball the better players that were drafted. The bonuses don't come from the salary cap, so go over their demands to be safe. If you want to experiment with the system, try it with later picks that you don't care if you lose or not.

I found one problem.....

We won't get a chance to place the newly signed prospects at what level we want them. As well as get them in lineups and such.

Yeah...we may want to re-think this option. Lets see how this goes.

Yeah, that is my stance on this. Give it a try and we'll revisit this afterwards. If the consensus is doing away with it, we can talk about it.

How do you do that? I have a SP 11 league and don't like the closeups?

In the jersey configuration screen. Where you can press the button to auto-regenerate the player photos for that team there should be a button somewhere there that changes what style of picture you get. I don't have the game in front of me so stating this from memory.

Just updated the team list. Took me a few days, I sort of forgot I was doing it.

Is Balzac vacant or did you actually take them over, Alan?

I have a new owner for Balzac starting tomorrow morning. I'll announce them then. Still waiting for the forum admins to approve their account to post here though.

Edit: Thanks for helping keep the team lists updated. I always forget

Figures, I get a guy in the supplemental who I'm happy with almost took him #1 overall, however, he wants a guaranteed Major League contract. I love OOTP 11, these greedy guys!
