Hit Parade: Ward Gets Cycle
Saturday, October 5th, 2126: You might say Jason Ward wore out his welcome with the Los Angeles Bruins. The second baseman gave them fits in today's 6-1 Toronto victory by hitting for the cycle. "To hit for the cycle" is one of the rarest of feats in a baseball game. This occurs when a player hits a single, double, triple, and home run in the same game, getting every type of hit possible. Ward ended the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 1 RBI and 1 run scored.

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, he said, "After the first three hits, I thought to myself, This could be the game I hit for the cycle. And I got lucky and did it."

J. Ward hit a solo-shot off G. Lugo in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

Looking at his present stats, Ward has compiled a .264 batting average in 133 games with a .311 on-base percentage, while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 39 runs.

I gave up smoking a couple months ago and I refuse to give up pop too. Coffee isn't my thing but if you are quitting anything good luck and my heart goes out to you. You have to have the umph to just say no when you want to give in.

EDIT: I don't think you are giving up anything just me being funny and sharing that I am so proud I quit them gross things. I can't even stand the smell anymore.

I am SO proud of you too! My Dad smoked for years and it actually caused me to have breathing issues as a kid (with an inhaler and everything!) Good job helping yourself and your family out!

And, as I used to yell at random strangers in my own weird form of public service announcement, "Smoking is bad for you!" (not very clever, I know)

Thanks Teach. In this last few months I decided I wasn't doing all the little things I could to make my life last as long as possible. I can't exercise very much so I have no choice but to do all the little things I can. I have 2 kids that NEED me.

I never liked coffee myself, I used to drink about 160-200 oz of soda a day though. A while back I completely stopped drinking the ones with caffeine, and then later on stopped drinking the ones with Sugar.

now I still drink the sprite zero, which is supposedly also not good for you, but it is my bridge drink until I figure out a way to actually enjoy drinking more water. I drink about 3-5 glasses of water a day and sprite the rest. Maybe about 20-30 oz of sprite zero a day now.
