Shoot me the files - I need the .cbb file and the files in the folder with your league name. Just zip them and email to [email protected]. I will look into it right away. Not sure why there would be a negative number somewhere but I should be able to fix it quickly

Hmmm, looks like it might be standard Windows 7 strict permissions issues. When I "Run As Administrator" it starts up without errors.

Fix action:
Go to your DDSCB2 folder. Find DDSCB2.exe-->Properties-->Compatability-->Privilege Level-->check "Run As Administrator".

I had a point in the off-season - hiring staff - where it never left the stage. It just kept simming a day over and over. I let it run for a half hour to see if it would end eventually.. nope.

Did your team have an open coaching spot? Obviously someone did so if you have the files I'd like to take a look and see who isn't filling their coaching vacancy and why. Im sure its a quick and easy fix

Make sure you always right click on any game install exe and select run as administrator.. saves a lot of hassels I've found out.

Probably being a bit picky here but...

Full Screen mode, when I open my roster and click on a player. It kind of drags in opening the player card up and it kind of makes the screen look goofy for a couple of seconds while its doing it.

I would assume my flash is UTD and everything so....Is this is how it is suppose to be or do I need to download something else?

I guess what I am saying is the transition from regular coaching office screen to popping up the player card isnt smooth. However if I just use the arrows to scroll through the players it works fine.

Yeah, I've seen this a bit myself when clicking various things.. it's like the screen is drawing the windows and take a few seconds to get where it needs to go.

It will be interesting to see if you can get promoted from within. IIRC correctly, I dont think any text games really offer that ability. FM has it once in a while, but not as much as you would think

The game is setup to do this (both with a human assistant and an AI one) but its not done automatically - if the HC can find a better candidate than you he'll hire that guy as opposed to simply promoting from within.

Ok good its not my computer treating the program like a virus or something.

Anything you could do about this Gary?

I'm taking a look at it - it's happening because of the full screen GUI now but I'm researching ways I can lessen it or get rid of it

I might have a solution - I will try to get it out in the first update but it is a fair amount of work because I'll have to edit every screen in the game. Keep your fingers crossed it works

When starting as an assistant, is there a way to know what my primary responsibility is before I accept the position?

And does my assignment stay the same from one year to next? How are the assignments chosen, it random or does the HC look at the assistants abilities? Thanks

Its done based on abilities but your abilities also sort of dictate the position offered. Most of the time 1st assistant is going to be recruiting, 2nd will be scouting and 3rd will be practice

Spent time with the screen drawing thing last night and it should be much improved for the first update. Got one or two other tweaks I want to make still and then will roll it out.

Awesome, looking forward to the update!

For now, I'll continue to wash the players jerseys and get the HC coffee.

Anyone playing this? I guess in game sound is broke and there is no mod yet to add real team names, logos ,courts etc. So maybe I should take back what I said about FBCB 2

The sound will be fixed in the first update which should be released in a beta state tomorrow. As for the mod...all the same logos and courts etc can be reused from DDSCB. There are new teams of course and it shouldn't be too hard for someone to mod the real names - there was one that was being worked on during beta and I think the user just needs to tweak a couple things

Will the demo be updated to have the new updates when they are released? Sound and the full screen redraw thing?

Yeah the demo is the same thing as the full game but just stops at a certain point. I'm putting together 1.1 now so all you will have to do is download it and overwrite the .exe and you're good to go

The beta of 1.1 is available in our forums now - hopefully all the issues concerned will be fixed. Further work will continue on any other issues or adding in user suggestions.

1.1.1 update posted

1.1.1 Fixes (note 1.1.1 is the exe located in a zip file - just replace your DDSCB2.exe file with the one in the zip. It is NOT an "installer" to do the update)
----------
- Fixed error with box scores not showing
- Fixed in game sounds
- Fixed problem when changing rival resulting in multiple games (will only be fixed if you have not changed rivals. If you have you can fix this problem by going through the other teams and seeing which ones have you as their rival and changing their rival to none - that's assuming the schedule has not been generated for that season)
- Fixed crash looking at rosters as commissioner

Thanks Tim - was just going to post this myself. The box score thing came about as a result of the 1.1 work on screen redraws so if anyone else notices anything like that let me know so I can fix it up.

1.2 coming shortly

Gary posted this at Wolverine. He says 1.2 is coming shortly and here is a partial list of the fixes.

- crash sorting OVR on transfer screen
- fixed 2D screen so court will scroll on smaller screens so side stat box can stay visible
- fixed bug where almanac page doesn't change the display of champions
- fixed bug where recruits hang up and you can't see final response
- fixed the overall speed of loading many of the screens
- added button to recruit page based on suggestion so that you can set any filters first and then sort
- fixed initial default roster file to reset proper rivalry games

The 1.2 patch will also include fixing of hotkeys on recruit call screen and fixing an error in the promotion/relegation system.

Once that is released (hopefully today) 1.3 will be focusing more on adding suggestions into the game so at the very least take the demo for a spin and if there's something you don't like now would be a good time to suggest changes.
