Man, after looking at the card for 138, I take back any shit I was talking about 137. I would never claim to be anything but a casual fan, but on the other hand, I've watched every UFC for probably the last 5 years, Inside MMA every week, and a smattering of other promotions on occasion...and I've never heard of like 3/4 of that card. Likely a lot of that is due to 138 being in England (and I always enjoy the hot foreign crowds), but I think I'll let someone else pay for that one.

138 is a free show on Spike.

Ahhh, well I take it all back (well, some of it at least)...I was gonna say "this should be a freebie".

It was that, Nick Diaz is a total POS as a person, but he is relentless in the cage, a true badass.

I hope St Pierre schools him though.

I don't think he will want to fight him when Condit is the champion. lol

Seriously, kind of a shitty card, with some below average fights. The Kongo/Mitrone fight should have been a prelim, as they stunk up the joint. At least Penn and Diaz made the ME interesting.

Happy to see Big Country get his win. He has a fricken stone head. He took some shots, but then he was dishing out some nasty blows when Herb stopped it.

Diaz is a tool, but a talented one. BJ looked really up for the fight early on, but those left hooks to the body slowed him down really quick in round 2. Good fight all over, and if BJ walks away here, he can hold his head high, that was all guts at the end.

I was disappointed with Hioki. I really wanted to see his game on display, but he got seriously lucky. He should have been more dominating. I wonder if he will adapt his style or end up like Sexyama and really be a non-factor.

The Jorgensen/Curran fight was a waste. Jorgensen stays near the top of the division.

Loved seeing Cerrone take out Siver with great style. He has been on fire lately, and he seems to be taking these challenges easier and easier.

All in all, a poor card. It really needed that GSP/Condit fight.

Dana says Condit has agreed to step aside. They are looking to make Diaz-GSP on super bowl weekend. Condit vs TBD will be on the card too.

Nick said GSP was faking injury and didn't want to fight anyone. GSP apparently flipped out and called Dana demanding the fight.

My thoughts exactly. When he first announced 30-27 my initial reaction was that the judge was an idiot for giving Mitrione the last round. Ends up he's an idiot for a different reason.

Noticeably Smaller Country and Cro Cop put on a really solid fight, but again we see a ref who refuses to even acknowledge punches to the back of the head.

Both prelims on Spike were exciting and Cerrone really looks like he's damn near unbeatable at the moment.

The Penn/Diaz fight was excellent. I don't think 5 rounds of GSP and Condit cancelling each other out with lay and pray would have made things better.

Mitrione knew he lost the fight: he was applauding Kongo before Bruce Buffer read out the winner's name

Penn took a licking. But it's one of those things, and who he is. 3rd round was all heart. If he is truly done, it's amazing he's never been knocked down in his career, especially after last night.

Respect.

Pretty entertaining main event so far. Don't see how Leben can make it out of this next round though, looks like he's exhausted.

I get the safety reason but I liked it better how the ref asked him in the second round.

"I can't see out of this eye."

"If you tell me that you can't see I'm going to stop this fight. Can you see?"

"Yes."

Arlovski just KO'd Fulton with a headkick with 1 second to go in one of the worst fights eveer. Arlovski had the decision so at least it ended with a bang but god damn does he look so bad. Just retire already.

I predict Cain retains. So pumped for this fight, and the Guida/Henderson fight.

Velasquez should win the main event. Dos Santos is very good and deserving of a title match, but Velasquez is a phenom.

I know he wants to sell it, but he wouldn't have been my first pick to be a co-commentator for this fight. He just isn't the right fit. It's too WWF.

It was kind of funny that after he said that they showed clips of him getting his ass kicked in that fight.

They neeeded a fight like Guida/Henderson. This is why having just one fight on Fox was a bad idea. Too risky, especially with two guys that have instant knockout power.
