Football Manager PSP

I was fooling around with the one from 2003 or 2005 or whenever it was last night, and found myself missing some of the interactivity from the PC version.

Anybody know if the most recent PSP release has the media/player/board interaction?

Thread necromancy time!

So I'm thinking of picking up a PSP in the next couple of months as prices drop like a rock ahead of the Vita. Also, I've never played Football Manager before (perish the thought). FM 2011 and 2010 for the PSP are reasonably priced ($20) on the second hand market and, near as I can tell, the PSP is region free for games.

So, is FM for the PSP worth it or should I avoid it as it's not the true experience?

It has all three of the above - although in a more cut-down manner than the PC game.

To be frank we can't extend the PSP product much further for various reasons (limited memory, processor etc.) - however the iOS version has continued to evolve onward in recent iterations as an alternative you might want to look into if you have an iTouch, iPhone or iPad?

(FMHi 2012 isn't out yet though I'm afraid, but it will be here in the near(ish) future - out before christmas)

Unfortunately, I don't have an i-object (I have a TouchPad but that's it in the realm of portable tablet-y things) so that's not an option.

Marc- you'd be best to ask: So, is FM for the PSP worth it or should I avoid it as it's not the true experience?

LOL - Yeah ask me for an unbiased opinion by all means

I personally really enjoy FMH in all its variants - its not the 'same' as the PC game at all, its created to be a slightly different and faster playing experience, but its fun and feels realistic as a sim.

(but do bear in mind that as someone directly involved in making the game I am kinda biased )

I know, but I figured the question would keep you honest, somewhat.

You wouldn't want someone to not get a true or, at least, fairly representative experience if this is their only exposure to the series, would you?

Marc: Any chance next FMH goes Android? (Specifically, the Amazon Appstore, the Kindle Fire would be GREAT to play FMH on.

Hmm I think FMH 2012 will be the one I jump in at...

Hopefully I'll have the patience to get into it this time around...
