At 10-6 the Dallas-Washington winner will be ahead of NYGiants.

At 9-7 If Dallas beats Washington, Dallas is ahead on common games*. If Washington beats Dallas, Washington is ahead on division record. NYGiants will be behind the others no matter what happens from here on.

* Common games tie-breaker for the NFC East teams is all results minus the games vs NFC North and NFC West opponents. Dallas has that one locked up (Chi L, Sea L), 1 game better than Washington (Min W, StL L) and 2 better than NYGiants (GB W, SF W), if tied in total W/L after 16 games.

Yeah, looks like they'll score another 50+ today, lol. What the Bears have going for them is games at Arizona and at Detroit, two they can still win even with their struggles against better teams. If they go 10-6 it puts the pressure on the other 8-6 teams to win out. Giants have to play Baltimore, Dallas and Washington play each other, and the Vikings have to play at Houston and home vs GB. Chicago still has a good shot at #6 seed.

Matt Flynn might get some more reps this week, as Seattle continues its dominance against bad teams.

Also, I believe the Patriots set a post-merger NFL record for points in consecutive games with 108 a couple weeks ago. After last week's 58-0 shellacking and this week's fast start Seattle is at 89 mid 2nd-quarter vs. the Bills. I know Football Outsiders' metrics have loved them all year, but I didn't buy them being quite this good.

Russel Wilson with 3 rushing TDs in the first half after not getting one all year.
I know people for some reason felt a need to harp on him but the last couple weeks he´s doing absolutely everything that was asked of him.

(At least that's what I'm telling myself as a 49ers fan).

Wilson would be either one or two (rg3 being the other) rookie of the year if he played in a major market. They have one of the best strength of victory records. If they get some home field games they could easily go to the SB.

If Indy makes it and they should, Luck wins it. Cousins filled in for RGIII. Seattle has Flynn. Luck has to perform for Indy to do anything. Luck also led his team to a likely +8 change in wins vs. maybe +5 for RGIII one of which he didn't play, and +4 at most for Wilson. Indy has the 8th most passing yards. Washington is 21st. Seattle is 29th. Washington is #1 in rushing. Seattle is #4. Indy is #22.

Well Detroit that was a pretty pathetic first half against the worst offensive in football.

If the Lions do lose this game, somebody seriously does need to be fired. Stafford is 9-22 with two INTs. In other words, the Cards have more points than Stafford's QBR.

I think Brady is right there 1A/B/C. 10 picks for Manning vs. 4 for Brady. We'll see - all 3 have major storylines to play out in the next 2-3 weeks. AP needs the Vikings to make the playoffs (and probably needs to break Dickerson's record to have a chance), Manning and Brady are fighting for at least a bye if not homefield - if Brady looks as good vs. SF's defense as he did in last week's primetime showdown vs. Houston I think he's the frontrunner. He's also been doing it without either Hernandez or Gronkowski almost all season.

Yeah, but the other two are also putting up pretty good numbers and not turning it over as much. Luck has more passing yards but RG3 has 500 more rushing yards. Is Indy's possible +8 in wins all due to Luck? If the Colts had just an average QB last year they probably don't lose 14 games. I think all 3 have a good case as I'm not sure any of them were expected to win 10 games and they all might.

I guess it wasn't really a pass. I should say any coach who doesn't run a rb into the line on 3rd and 1 should be fired.

Ugh. No QB who goes 14 for 21, 104 yds and 1 int should deserve to win in a rout.

+luck is near top in INTs and Indy has barely won games on weak sister schedule while Seattle has far harder. Indy's point differential indicates more like a 5-9 team which means they've been lucky in a lot of close games.

Stafford is the new Rivers or Romo. A highly talented QB you would never want if something was on the line.

On 3rd and 4, Cowboys should've run it. That way they could've gone for it on 4th down without worrying about giving the ball back to Pitt with too much time on the clock.

Following on GameCenter, I got confused when I read Romo taking a knee first and goal. Then I remembered that Pittsburgh already had the ball.

My son is excited since that likely knocks the Giants down to 3rd place but I'm disappointed since that brings the Jets back into play.

Let's not forget the stable of QBs Seattle and Washington had. Both teams brought in two new QBs.

Luck also throws a lot more passes so teams expect the pass much more. Luck isn't as gifted as a runner so it is one less thing to worry about. Washington still scored 38 points with their backup rookie QB. Sure, Seattle is putting up a stupid amount of points against bad teams, but it kind of helps having a coach run fake punts when you are up 30. For how good Seattle is suppose to be, there are bad loses in there with the good wins. I just think Luck has brought his team further along than the other two have. Some of that so called luck in close games is due to, you know, Luck.

You know, people seem to have this position on Luck and no amount of evidence can move them off it. They've been incredibly lucky in close games which is something that is variable year to year. It will be interesting to see if they return to expectations next year.

I don't want to seem heartless(but I will), I'm sure the speech is on every channel on TV. Show the game.

I'm watching on the web now and was lucky enough to see Moss torch the Pats.

Eh, forty niners made some nice plays. Pats didn't look great, but not as bad as they did weekly early in the season.
