What's going to be the etiquette this year regarding guessing/confessing of Secret Santas?

Ugh, more Purdue stuff. Please stay away from giving Brad Purdue items. It's like giving cats catnip.

Whatever! All I wanted for Christmas was a new head coach...and I got one! And now I have Euchre cards to go with it! Not sure it can get much better.

Oh, wait: Go Alabama!

I am fine with the guessing and confessing whenever.

Thanks Santa!!!

Merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy the Placher book. I worked with him at Wabash College and he was a hell of a guy and a great scholar. He was a member of the Presbyterian church we went to and he would guest minister. When he died suddenly it was a great loss to the college and the community.

I know it wasn't on your wishlist, but it looked like something that you'd enjoy.

Definitely! As I said, up my aisle . I read the back and was like 'whoa' and then I wondered why it wasn't on my wishlist .

Thanks!!

And I have to send a second thank you to Secret Santa for the book that arrived today- Back to Purdue: The Experience of a Lifetime. It's a memoir about one student's experience there and then his return to campus several years later. I'm excited because the author was on campus when I was and even lived in one of the same dorms PLUS, when I'm done, I'll put it in my classroom for my students to take a look at as they pick their colleges. Thanks again!!!

Since we can confess and my present is complete, Merry Christmas PurdueBrad . I hope you enjoy the cards and the book! Amazing how the book worked out that, though. Wow!

Thank you so much ISiddiqui, it is very much appreciated! You did an awesome job. Merry Christmas!

I'll confess as well (although I'm not sure a confession is necessary): I had CleBrownsFan which was great turn-around since he had me last year. Hope you enjoy!

Lol - good stuff PurdueBrad!!! I've already used the mug last night - filled it up with a Southern Tier x2 mass ale ( if they sell this beer near you I suggest you get it - very tasty). I also read the first 50 or say pages of the Grossi book and it's an awesome read!

Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and yours

Thanks CleBrownsfan! I really had fun getting to buy for you this year and I had to add the pens as a clue and throwback to the pens you got me. I'll definitely try to find the beer as well.

Wait Brad do you mean that someone actually wanted to go BACK to Purdue? Did he leave something there? Was there a very large check waiting for him when he returned? I am scratching my head as to why someone would willingly return....

Probably went back to get away from the unwashed masses (like those people from Sycamore!).

Got three very cool presents from my Secret Santa.

1) An edition of Lolita whose cover I've never seen before with a facsimile of Nabokov's signature on it that makes a great addition to my collection.

2) Volume 1 of Questionable Content, which, as the eagle-eyed Secret Santa spotted, is one of my favorite webcomics ever, so that was -very- cool to get.

3) A hilarious little Miami Dolphins trivia booklet, which I paged through and will look at more when I have more time.

Thanks again, Secret Santa!

Got my secret Santa gift. Thanks for the Wisconsin Badgers football book and rubik's cube.

Will be interesting to read to find out how much pre-91 stuff is in there since well, Badger football was pretty lean for 75 some years.

My Santa gift is slightly delayed...I hate to say that as I have been on top of it in the past years, so don't fret, you will get it...

He has been boxed for 2 months, so it will be a bit when and if he comes back.
