For about the 3rd time in the same number of years, the freaking software company that I work with (with and not for - I'm certified in their products but don't work for them) has sent something to my boss saying that one or more of my certifications has expired even though it hasn't. Every time they do this I have to deal with the bullshit of their mistakes and try to get them corrected because if I don't, we can't sell their products until they correct their shit.

This time they did it just after I asked for a long-overdue raise. I am rather pissed off.

So I've realized I apparently have a magnesium deficiency. I started taking a magnesium pill a few days ago and have noticed a significant increase in the amount of energy the last couple days.

I get that with one of our Vendors, it's crazy and you wonder how they function as an International Corp.

At the risk of giving TMI (OK, actually I don't give much of a damn about that) I have a colonoscopy tomorrow, which means that tonight I will be spending a LOT of quality time in the bathroom.

I have already told the lovely ms.path that she needs to have her iPad charged and ready for me -- but now here is the question:

Anyone got a fun free app/game to recommend to pass a couple hours time on the ipad?

So I'm flipping through the channels early this morning, and on JTV they have a show on from clearly the olden days, called The Goldbergs. Having never have heard of this show, I decided to Wiki it. Turns out it started in 1928 as a radio serial and ended it's run on TV in 1956. The lady who created it, ran it, starred in it, etc.. was pretty iconic and yet I'd never heard of her or the show(s). Made me feel a little weird.

Don't really have an app or game to recommend, but you might want to pick up one of these:

Impressive but I don't get paid until Friday.

Have drank almost my first half gallon of the......I don't even know what to call it. It's not horrible but tastes progressively worse as you go along. Ipad and Kindle are ready. Just going to stick with Bookworm I guess.....

I'll just stop now.

I love my father, I really do.

But trying to walk him through installing Malwarebytes (much less fixing the @#$%@ FB hack problem he got trying to snag a phony free McDonald's gift card) has given me a new appreciation for what it must have been like when he tried to teach me to drive.

Another woman I work with is all nice & friendly. Bops around with the best attitude you ever saw, all sunny & sweet. That is unless I say a single word to her. Then she acts annoyed as fuck. You don't have to like me, just don't act like I killed your grandmother if I ask if you're done with the microwave.

My mom told me today over GChat that the husband in the couple that lives next door to her and my dad had a massive heart attack last night and didn't make it. This is kind of saying something given that they live less than 2 miles from the hospital (joke all you want about it being nice and convenient when I'm home...), well within the typical "golden" response time etc.

That couple lived there all while I grew up in that house, and the husband always seemed like the "healthiest" between him, his wife, my mom, and my dad. He was the one who was always out in the garden, mowing, building their deck on his own, etc... My mom seems to think he was only a few years older than her/my dad, but I thought he was older than that.

I'm still kind of floored by the fact that he's gone. It's not like I was close to him/his wife, we were only neighborly (say hi on the street, get the mail, etc). And maybe it's just the way my mom said it over GChat so non-chalantly...but for some reason, this is still the biggest thing in my mind after a day of complete craziness at work.

Shit news for a friend of mine. His brother died in a training accident. I still remember when he was our un-official FBI escort for his brother's bachelor party. And flashed his badge to get back on the riverboat to pick up this trashy girl.

Didn't know him all that well, but damn. Always sucks.

When the healthiest neighbor unexpectedly passes away, and you're TK, then I dont think its remotely odd to find that news unexpected. No doubt he spent less time in front of docs and rehab assistants than you have.

Reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite movies.

"Get busy living, or get busy dying."

We really arent promised anything.
I see something I want. I go after it.
