Can a 4th yr player be a leader?

If he has a high leadership, will he be a leader? Or will an older player be the leader until he comes of age.... Thanks

I looked around for the info, and then realized it'd be faster to just ask...

In the new version, I had a 2nd year guy take over for receivers leader. This was never the case in 2k7 so great change Jim.

It depends on how young the rest of your WRs and TEs are and how strong the Leadership ratings are of the older ones. A rookie with 40 Leadership will be the position leader if you have all rookies with Leadership under 40 as the rest of your stable of WRs and TEs.

What if I have a 4 yr guy with 90 leadership, and a 5th year guy with 80?

My guess is that the 5th yr guy will but it's close. There's some formula where leadership X (year + x) but I have no idea what x is.
