Hiring Coaches
One thing I wish was different in the hiring of coaches. I wish you could "promote" a coordinator. I have 2 good coordinators and lost my head coach. I now have to look for a new head coach from "outside the family" instead of promoting one of my guys... Just a thought...

I would love to see this, in fact I thought you could do that this year? So, basically in order for your great off or def coordinators to become head coaches, you have to release them first?
I wonder if Jim would consider this for a patch? Unless it would take major coding to accomplish. Todd |

Additionally I was disappointed to find that the stats of the coach are no better than before. Too bad you can't find a "Coaching History" You know, like that a guy was Off. Coordinator for St. Louis for 3 years, his record while there and then HC for Detroit for 5, Chicago for 3, etc...

agreed. I posted this before, and hope this is a patchable thing. I wanted to promote my D coordinator to coach when the head coach left, but didn't have the option since he was still under contract. |

Thanks Ronnie. This game keeps getting better and better! Now if only that damn RB I traded up to #1 overall had signed with me and not re-entered the draft. Damn you Kerry Skelly! Who do you think you are, Bo Jackson? I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

agreed that you should be able to promote one of your coordinators.
I also wish bad teams would fire their coaches more often. It seems the way the AI works now is if the coach has good ratings, it doesn't matter if he goes 3-13 every year, he's always rehired. There seems to be hardly any coaching movement in FOF compared to the NFL, where if you don't win you get fired. |

Good. There's too much coaching movement in the NFL. If you win one week, you're the second coming of Lombardi. The next week you lose and a public execution is not good enough. Let a coach BUILD a team. Although you don't want to hold on to Fontes or Morhenwig either...
