Damn....died young. Thought he still had many more movies ahead of him.

Always seemed like one of those guys that loved what he did and never cared too much for the spotlight. Or at least that is how I always perceived him to be.

Loved his stuff. Animal House, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, Analyze This, Caddyshack and Meatballs were all great movies. Heck, I think Bedazzled is a good flick too.

I wonder how much this makes a Ghostbuster remake, reboot, etc. that has been rumored officially not happening. Bill Murray has been set against it. There just seems to be less and less people to be involved in it unless you go pure reboot with little to no ties to the original.

At the very least, word has it Bill Murray visited him not long before he died. Hopefully they finally parted ways on amiable terms.
Ramis and I were in the same fraternity - back in college, we always got a chuckle at all the subtle ZBT references he put into Animal House. Last edited by Coffee Warlord : 02-24-2014 at 02:09 PM. |

I hope they don't do a re-make. Movie was great, just let it be now. Come up with new ideas in Hollywood.
Also Groundhog Day is one of the most underrated films of all time. One of the best movies ever made. |

Looks like Sony is moving ahead with the remake. I'd also like to point out that Dan Akroyd made a Blues Brother's sequel w/o Jim Belushi. |
