NFL2k15?
There are rumors swirling about a possible return of NFL2k15 (NFL players getting scanned at 2k studios, random internet guys citing "reliable sources" saying yes, etc.). Here's your chance to weigh in before E3! Will the EA monopoly on football be lifted?

God I hope so. Madden is such garbage. But no, I'd be surprised. That said I'm not up to speed on the latest contracts, politics and all that.

I really hope so, but I doubt it. EA have conditioned me to see the future of football console games as being like Albert Haynesworth stomping on Andre Gurode's face forever.

I think we're more likely to see NCAA Football '15 than NFL2K15.

If they would just release a game with editable uniforms and rosters and allow those to be shared easily online, they would kill Madden.

EA exec issues challenge to 2K Sports to buy the license and compete against Madden. All but confirms that NFL license is not exclusive.

I wonder if 2K has the resources to commit millions of dollars to acquire the license then millions more to develop a game?

I would so love for 2k to develop an NFL game.. wouldn't be that hard to beat Madden. EA loves competition? Yeah, that's why they buy these exclusive licenses.. lol.. |

Cash shouldn't be the issue. Last I saw, they have nearly $2B in cash. Problem is whether they're comfortable keeping it as cash as opposed to diving into development as you note. |

One of the 2k developers has reportedly responded on Twitter and said:
@Ronnie2K: @DJ81 say it every week... we don't own NFL license, it's exclusively owned by someone else |

That is incredibly lame to taunt an opponent that can't even make a game. What a pussy. Go hide behind your exclusive license.
