Heh, my freshman 70 OVR punter converts to a 59 OVR RB. He'll be my 3rd string RB, but I might red shirt him a year before he sees some action. He'll actually be serviceable at some point I think.

70 OVR Athlete Matt Edwards becomes an 80 OVR RB, much needed depth there. He will also play a little iron man as a backup at Safety, WR, LB and DE. Versatile.

Also managed to get a 75 OVR WR out of our other major ATH signing.

Position changes complete for UTSA. With a good training session we can be a bowl worthy squad this year.

Not sure exactly what happened but signed four guys I never recruited, despite being over number at each position. More confusing each shows 100% scouted.

Wtf?

For clarification a 1 star Rb I never recruited signed and I have 7 other RBs.

I had one ATH I dropped off early sign. I had thought for sure Florida was going to land him, but he ended up taking my last spot. Neither CB signed, sigh. Have to hope for some good training camps from my CB slot.

I did switch one of my oversigned DEs to OLB, hope he turns out okay there.

Wtf?

Were they guys you might have recruited and offered early on, and then dropped?

That's the likely cause. I had three guys sign that were like that. I had recruited them, but later pulled them off of the board. It will be easy enough to cut them when that stage happens.

All set here. I also got a walk-on player and it was someone I had on my board who I removed later.

I will be out of town tomorrow night until Sunday night - taking my step-daughter to Dutch Wonderland for the weekend

The trip was postponed when my mom got sick, but she is doing much better in rehab and is walking around with a walker, using her arms well, and talking normally

Curious as to what the next few stages entail. I found out yesterday afternoon that I have to be in Florida next week, so I won't be able to do anything unless it is web-based.

Arrow Training Results - Next advance is 8/25 (Sun) at 11 p.m.

I'll leave training results up for a day so people can check them.

Nice. Looks like a couple of my receivers had good jumps, as did my returning RB. My air attack should be great again next season.

Decent movement all around EXCEPT at safety, where I had very little improvement.

Interesting. I also had very little growth at S. My offense looks like it will be very solid with no real holes at all. QB will be a tough decision as I have the very accurate senior pocket passer vs the young mobile QB. Probably will go with a dual system like I initially did last year.

This reminded of a Far Side cartoon where this fat guy has gorged himself on steak, and there is just one piece left. His dog is looking up at him hopefully, but he says "Boy, am I stuffed. Guess I might as well finish it off."

My attempt at googling the cartoon failed.

Okay, only two teams left are Buffalo and Maryland, as far as I can tell.

Okay, I advanced us on the website. I think we are at the stage where I have to go in-game to realign the conferences. I probably won't get a chance to do that until Friday, unless tomorrow night frees up. Indiana-Indiana State is on TV Thursday night, so I'll be busy that night.

I like the QBs in this order:

1. Roberson
2. Sudfeld
3. Coffman

I do like Sudfeld a lot.

It was a shame he broke his leg in game 2 last season. Hopefully there will be no lingering effects from it.

I just want to see another step toward relevance this year. I think they have a chance to put themselves in position to make a run at the Big Ten in a couple seasons. I like the direction of IU athletics in general over the past 3-5 years.

I agree. Fred Glass and Coach Wilson are doing a great job. I love the direction things are heading in. So much better than the Lynch years, when there was no reason to hope the team would improve.
