I struggled a bit with making sure I had a splashy enough first pick but I hope this succeeds. Ned Stark is what we all desire from a ruler and with the right group of people around him would be able to avoid some of his mistakes.

I picked Robert there because he was the only man to take the Iron Throne via conquest, and his track record was quite excellent in itself, having several victories and one considered draw.

Robb not only had an excellent reputation as a general, he exhibited a lot of ideal qualities for a ruler. He was still green and naive though, I don't think he would have been a strong pick for King off the bat- luckily he's a perfect fit for Heir Apparent, and grabbing him there definitely weakens the field for the Marshall spot.

Thanks. I agonized over that or going in a Marshal-type direction, but I think ultimately there's more depth at Marshal and some of the other picks, and I couldn't pass up the chance to pick up the rightful ruler.
